I actually like the cut of the other one better, although the PQ is definitely A+. I've actually gone in and out of buying moods (PQ vs QP, top census vs. 2nd highest)...I'm down to only 5 or so now on HOM...in the process of scanning books...I keep procrastinating Yo Matthew....greggy my boy...hope you guys are doing good!

I personally think it's a great deal and was offered a price even lower than that, but I can't afford it. Nice buy for someone, if you can get over the miswrap.

I know that there are two Oakland HOM 179...one hasn't been graded, and the other miswrapped monster has. I would've loved to have bid on some of those books, but the prices relative to current fetch prices was too much, and I prefer not to have to win in a multiple lot situation, which was the case for the couple of lots I wanted.

I will not be watching any of those high grade Neal Adams covers, nope not me..... Jerry Weist has two Tomahawk Adams covers in 9.6...but I think you have those already...

Remind me, are you looking for 9.4 and above? Technically yes, although it seems that 9.6 or higher seems to be the norm.

Really?!? I haven't been keeping track...awesome. Unfortunately, CGC's grading has been lax as of late, and I will be judging the book and not the label if it does come up for sale.

Several books I'm tired of chasing... WH #4...HOM #175 #190 and #205...still need one....this is frickin nuts.

Please do post your cheap buys. As for me, it makes no sense re-posting books here. I've been primarily "upgrading" (a loose term considering CGC's grading as of late) because my wish list isn't being hit. I'm noticing that books are on average 50% cheaper. I definitely wish I was just STARTING my collection now. Dover, nice Phantom Stranger...that one is a true PITA to obtain in high grade. It's still on my list, although the title has fell from favor from an active collecting standpoint.

A mystery if you ask me. I'd call CGC but since they don't really document defects in the notes anymore who will really know? The LRC looks like a faint dog ear to me...maybe that was it. The URC looks weak as well. I've seen 9.4s that have looked worse, if we judge a book by it's cover.

No that's cool. I'm glad the book is being enjoyed. It's your book...burn it if you want. I kinda thought the book got a bit hammered on the grade...although I could understand why it may have gotten the COW pages.
