  1. I'm still spending $20+ a week and don't see it dropping anytime soon. This week had some weaker variants unless you were into the Harley power ball lottery going on. Picked up all the A covers of Batman #4 Superman #4 Justice League #2 Nightwing #2 <- new villain on the cover, first ap. was #1 though Harley Quinn #1 - This one has a printing error showing it as a second printing. I'm sure it doesn't matter in terms of spec as it's a high print run
  2. Good god that's a great sale. That's dcbs deals in store. Yeah it was. Great time to stock up if you were planning on speculating on any rebirth titles, they had quite a bit of stock, must have over ordered. Only thing they were short of were all the Rebirth #1 issues and some of the popular #1 titles like Superman. No early Flash at all or Titans B cover, but plenty of Titans A cover. I'm not speculating at all on Rebirth, everything I get is for my PC / reading enjoyment.
  3. So I was down in Connecticut for a wedding over the weekend and we stopped at Newbury comics in MA on the way back north yesterday. They had a DC 50% off sale all week that ended on Sunday, lucked out on that one. Grabbed my Red Hood, and picked up all the A covers of Detective #935-937 and Wonder Woman #1-3 for $1.49 a piece. Super happy since I don't have those titles on my pull list and they're always sold out of cover A when I go to my LCS after work on Wednesdays.
  4. I'm pissed Red Hood was sold out when I hit my store. Didn't order a copy. Ah well I'll get one this weekend at a different store. I ended up grabbing: Titans #1 variant - sweet cover! Flash #3 Nightwing #1 variant - sweet cover! Action #960 variant - best cover of the week? Toss up with Titans. Hal Jordan and the GL Corps #1 Detective #937 variant
  5. My pull list as of this week is Batman Superman Flash Justice League Titans (have a feeling this will be a good read going forward) But I'm still grabbing issues off the wall until I grow bored of them or decide to add them to the list - mainly Action and Detective but trying Nightwing, Green Lanterns etc
  6. Nice pickups. Whether its luck, or just extra effort at a certain point in time, good finds tend to come in waves im my experience
  7. It was the first run I started collecting when I got back into comic collecting. Fun run to collect, great read when you accomplish the task and it doesn't break the bank. The books are plentiful but very liquid because someone is always collecting this run. Lots of nostalgia for 80s kids.
  8. Anyone else notice Bizzaro and Bekka on the cover of Red Hood? Wtf is Jason Todd doing teamed up with a New God and a Superman. Theyre way out of his league power-wise.
  9. Is it just me or has The Flash B cover variant been the better cover for every issue so far? I have all the B covers for Flash and love em, especially #1
  10. apparently you don't give a about him so I guess that's good enough. I think the star of the Super family is going to be Jon. There are plenty of "new" readers that Rebirth is pulling in who used to be DC / Superman fans who quit with N52. Not confident that New Superman will draw enough people in. Action and Superman are both off to solid starts. Just going with my gut on this one. I'm not adamant about it, just going with my gut off the bat.
  11. I passed on New Superman. Maybe it'll be a mistake but I'm just not confident anyone will give a about him. The run is going to have to be epic.
  12. If anyone wants a poster for their wall/cubicle/store there is a cool one in the centrefold of this months Image+
  13. Holy mess that was my favorite issue since #100. Negan was a POS villain and has grown into one of the most broken yet awesome characters in the book. I'm sure most of you are reading his backstory in the Image+ books but if not you're missing out because it ties into this latest issue, not by coincidence. Also the spoiler dude, the books not out and you tell people to sell a book that is a characters first appearance. You can't take that any other way.
  14. Morrison's run on Action is underappreciated. I would say it's appreciated the right amount. But I would also say that the art did a disservice to the story. The comic would have sold better with better art, but DC hasn't really treated Action like a keystone franchise in a long time...although that might be changing... Im loving the new Action so far, great start with Rebirth
  15. Definitely grabbing these since they're on my pull list. Justice League Rebirth #1 Batman #2 Superman #2 Im reading the rest of the titles on my iPad.
  16. My flea market trip this afternoon was a mild success. Happy about the #21 variant needed it for my Batman new 52 run.
  17. Walking Dead has a bunch of comics that Kirkman created. s04e01 Michonne hands Carl a bunch of comics, a copy of Invincible is on top. s04e11 There is a copy of Super Dinosaur #4 on the corpse of some kids. s05 not sure which episode Enid is reading Invincible #45 s06e10 Carl is reading a copy of Invincible
  18. Great read you guys weren't exaggerating. Glad to have Negan back, can't wait to see where this goes.
  19. I might grab some extras just to break up the monotony of selling WD #100s
