  1. Umm wut? Edit: just noticed that cover. Good Lord, now im just mad. This is getting out of hand. Ive been out of the comic scene for over 10 years and recently back in, but has there been any other comic in recent years that had 16 covers? This book better really good and better take more than 10 minutes to read...
  2. So I'm sure this was a big deal on the boards when the first compendium came out (I wasn't a member then), however I just noticed they have a huge spoiler right on the cover (Ricks arm). Was it ever established or explained why they decided to do that? Also going off that, now that the second compendium cover has been released, any thoughts on why Carl isn't on the cover? Compendium 2
  3. FYI that #94 bw sketch on your wall is real ugly, you should probably hand that off to me. I'll dispose of it properly In all seriousness, what grade did you get on that #50 superhero variant?
  4. Well I see one auction for the blank sketch cover, guess they were the lucky ones to be first to set the price at $55
  5. Thats awesome. And LA Noire... As in the video game, there a show?? Omg... That will be killer!
  6. Not sure if you went off my suggestion (when you asked I mentioned sort of as a joke to get #66 signed), but if you did, that's awesome and I'm insanely jealous of you, he was by far my favorite character of the show!
  7. If I'm not a member, but submitted books onsite to cgc directly via a convention, if I signed up now, would I be able to track my submissions? Or do you have to be a member from before they get submitted?
  8. I'm surprised you didn't refute the claim of not having a job and/or girlfriend! Even though sometimes I do think those are imaginary Oh and jjeanius...there's no reason or place for a dreadful WD #1 9.6 in your collection, I'll humbly take that dreadful piece of scrap off your hands for you.
  9. Add Saga and Thief of Thieves to your list, trust me, those are in for the long haul. Saga - truly epic storyline, vast universe, awesome art by extremely in demand artist Fiona Staples, people have likened this to Star Wars Thief of Thieves - amazing story as well and AMC has already nailed down television rights to the story (though not confirmed will take off, but definitely a big step)
  10. Does anyone have a website or can list all the different countries variant covers? For instance I know a good number of the first 10 issues in the Serbian edition are different. I'm having a hard time finding a good resource with all this information in one place. Thanks.
  11. how many years of the book are covered in two seasons of the show? As stated above the show loosely follows the comic, but if you were to match it up right now, season 3 starts alongside #19.
  12. From what I've heard it's all digital, as far as the RRP I would just assume that is as well. For what it's worth though, if in fact the RRP is ink, I'm sure you'd be in an enormous line to get your hands on it since Saga's art is by and large extraordinary and everybody wants it.
  13. THANK YOU I thought I was the ONLY one that noticed this! I went back and re-read that scene many times and couldn't for the life of me see that it was confirmed she was definitely dead. All I saw was her get hit by a bullet, which if everyone died by a bullet, everyone would have been dead by now. I thought for a long time after I read that issue that she's still alive somewhere. Wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't the case. Hi Lori! Ok, so another theory someone at my LCS told me which at first I thought was nuts, then after re-thinking it seemed somewhat cool was... What if at the end of #100 Rick and the gang are all in some "definitely-ready-to-die" scenario, the issue ends, issue #101 picks up back at day 1 again with an entirely different group of people. 50-100 issues later they cross paths with Rick and the gang and see what they've been up to since we last saw them...It would be a way to severely extend the life of the story...
  14. ALL SOLD, THANKS EVERYONE! That was fast Glad your personal sales thread is over Now back to the speculation and possiblity of a official Walking Dead shampoo Seriously, someone was just chastized for doing this.... Aaaaaanywho...Now that I can get my shower curtain done up, can someone find me a TWD paper towel holder??
  15. Yup, I think they come out next month? I'm buying a box for sure, they're going to have "variant" type cards that are more rare (think holograms in the old school Marvel cards). There's just something about that chase of finding the packs with the rare cards that drives me bonkers, I'll be wasting away money on TWD cards for sure.
  16. I'm still waiting for the shower curtains and matching toothbrush holders.
  17. Nobody says this anymore. Can someone tell me what the print run was on the Saga RRP? I could never understand why it sold for so much money.
  18. Don't forget about the 13th variant they just announced that you receive for mailing in 3 different assorted vegetables arranged in size and weight to Image Comics. It's the "No Fruit for You" exclusive. I hear Moore is doing the cover.
  19. Stop. Pouring. Salt. In. The. Wound. Picked up a large run of WDs at cover here a few months back locally. All subbed came back 9.8 #19 $250 <-- pretty please #15 $60 (last issue needed to fill my run 3-99 {-19} ) #16 $50 (favorite cover) Thanks for accepting my offer
  20. You guys are in luck, dreams really do come true. I called up Stan (we're buds if you didn't know), had him jet on over to CGC headquarters to meet me there for a quick SS session. CGC implemented a new grading service for me called "super fast track"where I walk in, everyone drops what they're doing, and they come over to witness then grade my book. Five minute turnaround time, however they were a little backed up so it took 15 minutes. Nobody's perfect... Anyway, here you guys go! I had Stan sign it for me (he's trying out a new signature), and the book actually got the coveted, secretive 10.2 Super Gem Mint grade. I'm the first. Now it's a just a matter of a bidding war between you two to see who gets this authentic piece of history. Go!
  21. So I thought about it for a while and finally decided to sell my #33 second print (blue cover variant) to someone on the board for a steal of a price of $50. First come first serve! Here's a scan
  22. Tell everyone #66 is the next big thing! I have a couple dupes of those I'd like to get rid of
  23. If they had a gun emotocon on here, I would be pointing it at you right now Anyway I just scanned through completed listings of that #34 2nd print and it seems like $25 is the high end, then again most of the other auctions I saw for it were F/VF condition and sold around ~$10-20. So, if Rosen says that his book is in nice condition I guess $25 isn't all that bad a deal. He has 63 left so If someone on this board doesn't snatch all those up in one scoop I'll probably buy one so I can continue feeding my addiction.
