  1. Backwards in time? Yes. Forwards in time? No way unless it's so vague that it won't ruin the narrative tension created over the last 10 years of not knowing who would live or die from issue to issue. Seeing any character alive 10 years from now destroys any chance of creating or maintaining tension in the storytelling as it pertains to that character. No matter what happened in regular time you'd know that the particular character survives it. The backwards in time I see happening as well, and am excited about it. I've mentioned this before, but someone at my LCS had a theory (which at first i thought was ludacris) that it would be kind of cool if we see the characters in a precarious situation, and the next issue opens back at day 1 of the outbreak, and its following an entirely different group of people. We then follow them for a certain amount of time, then eventually they cross paths with Rick and the gang, and it goes from there. I just feel that theory could greatly extend the life of the comic.
  2. Just curious, but does anyone think at some point Kirkman is gonna fast forward a chunk of time? Like 5-10 years, and we'll see Carl as a teenager or young adult and the story picks up from there (assuming no major event was skipped, or every major character is still intact)? Or it may open with "After the death of so and so, things have been the same..."
  3. Are you referring to the last page of #91? Cause if you are I agree with you, but I've learned many people consider that his cameo, not appearance. On the flip side, when it comes to a single piece of OA, technically the last page of #91 is the first time he's drawn on paper, so perhaps in the OA world, that would be the first appearance? My god I'm confusing the mess outta myself.
  4. If you moved the decimal two places over to the left, I'd like, totes buy it. If I had that money I'd throw down for sure, not sure about $6k, but in that realm, especially for that particular page, I love Jesus. Happen to know how much the OA for the page that Michonne was first shown in went for (you probably own it )? I would liken this to that if Jesus became that popular and pivotal, which I think he will.
  5. I just got the funniest mental image in my head of some guy walking into ComicCon, smiling and waving to people, then all of a sudden Branget comes out of nowhere and just tackles him to the ground. Like this.
  6. If its the same guy as the other than I agree on all accounts of your argument. I thought it was someone different who just wanted to genuinely off their collection at $30 a pop.
  7. Yikes I'm overdue on this, but got 3 books and they were packaged perfectly and were stunning copies, thanks Frank!
  8. I think its a different person who got his inspiration from that other one we all reported. Also, check out my edit. Its actually kinda tempting, lower price and he isn't BSing by messing up hid story like the other one did. I'd just love to hear from a buyer to see what they actually received. Dude how the heck do you have almost 500 posts my lord. Do you actually "work" when at work?
  9. Another seller doing the grab bag thing... http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALKING-DEAD-COMIC-1-100-SDCC-lotto-1-2-3-4-19-27-61-63-ESCAPE-VARIANT-AMC-/130734722865 You know, I'll get chastised for this but I'm prepared...this guy at least seems more legit than that other one. The pictures look like his collection, and at least he's not completely ambiguous like that other one was where the guy was clearly lying based on the numbers he was describing. Hell I'm almost tempted to give it a shot. $30 is the going rate for a majority of back issues before 75 anyway. I'd bet that I end up with a survivors guide though which would indeed me off. Oh well, flame away.
  10. Yes, over the course of about 3 days, the 1:10 variant went steadily from $10-$15 to now selling for $25-$30 yesterday and today.
  11. I just got the email a few minutes ago so figure I would spread the word. I was thinking about putting it in the general forum as well, but figure someone else probably already did/will (bystander effect).
  12. So I know this may not be the right forum, but just wanted to say that Mile High Comics is having a special sale where 10% of all proceeds this week are going to the families of victims from the movie theater shooting. Coupon code HELPHEAL gets you 60% off all back issues. They have a lot of WD in there, and while prices are a little high for my taste, the 60% off makes a lot of them desirable.
  13. . In my opinion the only issues of the WD Weekly that are worth buying are issues 1, (maybe 2 and/or 3 and/or 10), 19, 27, 33 and 48. What's everyone else think> I don't think you captured the spirit of his comment. He's not in it for the money, he likes the covers
  14. Tack on an extra 2 months for shipping too. Hope you fast track otherwise you'll be getting a couple more items for Christmas!
  15. Well I'm now the proud owner of the 1:10 thanks to feebay. I think I got it at the lowest price moving forward.
  16. Who is lostpike? Do we have competition??
  17. So are the variant covers gone? Or the regular? I want another copy of the regular as mine is "an 8.0" as you would say. Edit: Stop rubbing your comics all over your body and look at your phone.
  18. Bah! Im in Brooklyn a couple times a year actually as i have family next to Prospect Park! I reside in Florida, unless that chicken salad is "literally" not to miss, I'll have to knock on someone else's door tonight. I actually liked the bottom just a squeeze more, but anyway, you selling that?
  19. WTF??? Who would buy every remaining copy of something from the shelf...That's just rude
  20. Rosen plays softball, and wears a size "youth medium" pants. Discuss.....
