  1. Usual rules: First in the thread wins, trumps all PMs and conditional stuff No HOS, problem children or otherwise difficult people. PayPal or check (but check must clear before book is sent out). Journey Into Mystery 20, Dec. 1954. Atlas. Pre-Code. Horror. (looks more like scary Monster that Atlas did until they figured out Superheroes again). Everett art. Book is about 2.0 - spine roll, spine is rough, cover completely attached, cover glossy but stressed and creasing as seen in scan, piece missing bottom right corner, cf completely attached and tight, off-white supple pages. CGC 4.0 sold last year for about $300, so I'm going to ask a cheap $150 shipped (OBO). Thanks!
  2. I've had 1 Gold and 3 Silver age Western comics from England and Australia . . . and I have no idea what to do with them, what their value is (if any), and who might be interested in them. Anyone have any info for me? Any leads on who might want them, and how much I should get for them? Thanks in advance!
  3. I shouldn't be buying anything! I have too many books that I bought along with the ones I wanted, I just can't do it anymore!!!
  4. Thats an amazing inheritance - and loads of fun too (if you are enjoying learning about comics and how to sell them etc.) or a huge headache. Either the thrill of a lifetime selling these or you'll be asking why didn't whoever left these just leave money!!!! Pristine Comics is in your neck of the woods (I think between Tacoma and Seattle). Don't know if I'd sell directly to him as he will pay wholesale and you have the opportunity, through an auction house, to get very close to retail. But either way he can help you with some of the grading, storing, and packaging questions. I know it was a few days ago, but I agree with those who suggested flying out to Florida to drop off the books. BUT, you should definitely get them pressed, and that may take some time (no walk through for pressing) so flying there to drop them off is the thing to do and have them sent to whomever you decide to sell them to, or back to your parents and then directly into a bank vault if you hold them. I recently had a similar "find" and though I mailed it to CGC (fully insured) when I found a buyer I flew out to meet him and made the exchange in a lawyers office in person. Good luck, keep us all informed how it goes!
  5. Ok, so these aren't GA, but they are PLODs and I figure why not? See if anyone wants them (or tell your friends who might be interested!!!). Tales of Suspense 72 and 83, both 9.4. 72 Off White to White, Top edge of cover trimmed. Ask $75 OBO 83 Off White pages, all three edges trimmed (!!!). Ask $60 OBO.
  6. Batman! 64! CGC 5.0 White pages. Presents nicely (issues are overhang on right edge that caused some ripping but can't be seen easily and small pieces out of back cover). GPA has a 5.5 selling for $257, and one sold on feebay that had similar issues for over $300 (raw)!!! Asking $250 OBO
  7. SLABS!!! (Sorry for the poor quality of images, my scanner is too small and my photography skills are lacking) First up for your consideration is the most mundane of the titles I have today - Action Comics 171 CGC 3.5 Cream to Off White pages, tape on interior cover. GPA not helpful, I'll ask OSPG at $125 (slab shipping $13)
  8. This is a little later than GA (early silver - 1957) but a nice book anyway. World of Fantasy 6, GLOSSY around 5.5-6.0? I am always stymied by books like this - its glossy, flat, has sharp edges, but the bottom edge and spine have wear . . . interior has supple cream pages. Bill Everett cover. No GPA info, few sold on feebay, asking $125 (reasonable offers considered)
  9. Real Life Comics 7, G+ - presents better but spine/cover is brittle (already split from top to below top staple, but on cover not on spine). Ironically, pages are supple tan/cream. Does have slight musty smell (I'm really selling this comic!!!) - $15 (was going to ask $20 but after all I said about it . . . ) SOLD!!!
