  2. Agreed, 30 days is the standard here to make the list. Although dropping his name (to provide a bit of motivation) is not unheard of . . .
  3. Should be used only when you mean it.
  4. Let's see . . . it usually means: Bought book; didn't pay; 30 days passed; seller reports. I just hadn't seen the typical banter that goes on here before someone goes on the list. Typical banter. Just mailed your book today (if it's not there in 26 days, commence typical banter).
  5. Let's see . . . it usually means: Bought book; didn't pay; 30 days passed; seller reports. Was about to add him to the list myself, but I guess someone beat me to it. He bought a large dollar book (over $1000) from me on 4/7/09 and never paid. We agreed on time payments with a down payment of $100 due within a week (by 4/14/09) and subseqent payments due on 5/15 and 6/15. After about 10 days I pm'd him about the $100 down payment and he said he was waiting for checks which he just reordered. He never made the down payment or contacted me after that to explain. Sorry to hear that Bill , as I understand it there are at least two other sellers that are, ahem, "disappointed" in Senor Comicseeker's payment habits
  6. Let's see . . . it usually means: Bought book; didn't pay; 30 days passed; seller reports.
  7. I'm sure it will be "discussed" soon . . .

  9. There are several here would have you believe that its better..... but it's not. It's dead (thumbs u (thumbs u I completely agree with you guys. Couple of months ago, there would be pages upon pages of books being bought and sold. Now I see one page, going back for the whole week. I havent' bought nor sold a thing since the new change, and I probably won't. I'm boycotting this new format. Ok, I'm not really but you get the idea. It is my opinion CGC WANTS to drive sales away from this site. It doesnt make them anything but a headache and im sure their sponsors would like it better that way. That couldn't be further from the truth. This whole forum is one giant marketing tool that leads to money for CGC. Agreed . . . and we are the pawns of industry slaving for peanuts . . . Workin' for da MAN!
  10. A more interesting topic is the recent NY Times article about the relative increase in private sales of fine art over auction sales, and the underlying economics of same. This, albeit a different ballpark, more accurately reflects the dynamics of the mid to high-end collectibles market.
  11. No kidding - this is not news. I make a joke about your printer cartridge reference, and you get all huffy. Dang, I wish I understood the world as well as you . . .
  12. I think the real sheit hit the fan around the start of April, and EBay sales in many areas just dropped off to nothing. Sellers are hurting and prices have been dropping, with free shipping being offered by many large sellers, just to get rid of stock. I was looking for ink cartridges a week ago, and I was surprised at how cheap it was - much lower than when I bought late in 2008 - like 1/2 the cost and free shipping. It's bargain city out there right now. For ink cartridges perhaps . . . You should see the crash threads he's been posting to the ink cartridge forums. OMG!

  14. I don't really like wading through the GA junk I think it should be separated . . .
  15. What's thedude think of you co-opting his namesake? We're in the middle of litigation. No comment, then . . .
  16. I agree - I think the new split is working better than expected. But it's time to do away with the misc. category - unless it's solely used for Non-comic items, i.e. comic-related offerings. cc: arch
  17. Buy something from me , and I'll make sure your screwed like never before. Whooooo-haaaaaa-haaaa-haaaaa-ha---ha.. Sellin'?
  18. You didn't read my OP D as I specifically stated the costs for using the USPS I'll assume the Px on the glasses is out of date (just kidding ) But in all seriousness Divad, there are some of who still like to use the USPS at times, and I don't think a $0.50 - $1 difference in shipping is going to matter especially when the seller is eating 35 in paypal fees... "Click and Ship" USPS online still pays their salaries - same price
