  1. Ah, ok, it's only a buck . . . let me hike the price of the next book you buy by 20% and see if you care
  2. $4.80 with tracking online, any way you cut it Are you telling me someone here doesn't know how to do that?
  3. - I fixed that in my listing, thanks for pointing it out (albeit indirectly). To be honest with you, as infrequently as I sell books, I don't think anyone has ever chosen that option because I usually move bigger lots. I lost money on shipping during my last two sales. Sorry if I offended, it certainly wasn't intentional. Speaking of eBay....weren't they supposed to be doing something to prevent shipping $$ gouging? I was checking out a comic auction the other day where the guy was charging $12 for the first comic and $1 per comic after that up to $6, for a maximum cap of $18. (thumbs u No bodies to enforce it on eBay?
  4. Where do people get off charging $6.00 for a Priority Mail Envelope? Are we moving towards the Bay?
  5. As always, thanks for the insight Steve. I note that a different staple supply was used too.
  6. Yes, but can it be filtered to pick up "the real deal" or "a steal" or "dorkette"?
  7. Dang, we couldn't please everyone? I admit it's different, but if even an old codger like myself can smile about it . . . I think you need to take a Yoga class
  8. That's awesome, Arch! Is there any way you can get rid of the 'Posted by' line, so you just have the thread title? That would tighten up that screen quite a bit. No real layout control here, no. Bear in mind that viewing the RSS feed as a web page is a pretty raw way to see it. Really the best view would be in an RSS reader and/or plugin. Here's a review of some firefox plugins: http://mashable.com/2007/05/26/rss-firefox-guide/ I must already have an RSS reader loaded, as the link looks like any other web page for me (but without any ads!)
  9. Alls well that ends well I say... eggsackley
  10. As seller, that is entirely your prerogative though time and $$$ heals all wounds.
  11. That's all well and good, but if he pays you what's due, he's off the list. That's how it works. Good luck! That's not necessarily true. If a guy doesn't pay for a month and then wants to and I've either 1) sold the item or 2) decided I don't want to deal with the hassle and risk of selling to this person; I don't think the person should automatically be removed. That might be a situation for the ever popular probation consensus option. Uh, no. This is not a witch hunt. There have to be simple, clear ways of getting both off and on the list

  14. I will have a couple of early mid-grade FF's going up tonight around 9:00 p.m. PST - Fantastic Four #5 Origin and 1st Appearance of the Doctor of Doom! and the one with all those carzy mutant X-Men on the cover . . . Fantastic Four #28 Be there or be square.
  15. That's what I went to when they initially dropped the tracking is the Customs Long Form which has a processing code. The short form has nothing on it for any form of tracking. Yes, and no . . . look again. Ahh, I grabbed one and see what you are talking about. It's a small code under the bar code. I never noticed that before, and instead went with the long form as all copies displayed a code. Thanks for the education! Have you ever had to ask for tracking by this code? I'm going to assume they make it extremely painful. I've had instances where you could just enter it in the tracking box, and delivery was confirmed. More often, it does not. If the book is lost, they will usually go the extra mile for you and find the book. Quite often, it is just sitting in a foreign Customs office somewhere.

  17. :gossip:They track it on the Customs form info (if they want to . . . )
  18. Due to the recent uptick in CGC slabbing prices, a natural affinity for raw unslabbed books, and an immediate need for cash flow to fund other investments . . . I am offering up my newly acquired raw Vampirella #1 9.2 Off-White pages (with a possible shot at a 9.4) in a 24-hour PayPal only sale, coming up shortly
  19. Even Media Mail doesn't take three months. Time to out the seller. I agree . . . Chances are he's been dikkin' around more than just you.
  20. Bosco, I don't know how others feel about it, but for me, you are buying the book, not the case. I like it when sellers note cracks, because those could be to the point where, if they get worse, they could threaten the book. For scratches, it is what it is, a scratch on the case. To me it does not need to be disclosed and is not the responsibility of the Seller. I mean this very respectfully, but also truthfully: If you came to me with a case scratch problem, I would politely tell you to go pound sand. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say. --S. I agree, I would be inclined to politely tell you to go pound sand. However, if $11 on a $300 sale is going to blow your skirt up . . . I'd shoot you the $11, in hopes you come back again.
  21. Board Special Yeah, I know - we're privileged to get a "crack" at it . . .
  22. Wow! Only $2,100 for a 9.2 Hulk #181 This place has got some really great deals! Did 9.2's of that book suddenly go stratospheric? (shrug)That's about 9 Ben Franklins over FMV WTF am I missing here?
