I think this is great. He acknowledged his mistake and made well on his end of the deal. Even though it took the probation list to help complete this sale, the ending was as you had hoped. Congrats. well isnt that what he has to do to get off this list? ? Well yes, and no. If the book is still available and the Seller wishes to complete the transaction, then yes. However, after 30 days, the seller's obligations to make the sale end. If the book has been sold elsewhere, then the only route to salvation is forgiveness . . . (Dang! That sounds like a preacher to me . . . )

Took the money and ran on multiple books / buyers. I'm out $170 on an Avengers 18 CGC. yikes! i bought from him back in 9/08 and he delivered. sorry to hear. I had multiple successful transactions both selling and buying with Michael up to this point. Really sad to see. I think monkeyman is out quite a bit more than me. Michael, apparently hit some roughness in these economic times. Not making excuses for him, but he was an honest boardie before he disappeared. He belongs on the list because he frooked over multiple members who lost plenty. It doesn't matter that it may have been out of hardship. This thread should serve to alert buyers and sellers on the forum to improprieties.

I don't put up any rules. However, if someone contacts me via pm prior to an in the thread, the book is on hold and under negotiation. And, I reserve the right to sell it to whoever I want. Karma and all that. :sumo: Even me . . .

I certainly empathize with the buyer who posted the first I think the seller should stand by what he wrote in the thread. It's silly to pretend that what was written in the thread pertains to PM's. But it's the seller's right to interpret his obligations as he sees fit, as we are not party to all of the discussions. Bottom line? It's the seller's book, he can do as he wishes. It is not a probation issue.

I don't understand the mentality of some sellers that if nobody's on the boards, the books won't sell. Or if 4-8 hours pass, the books won't sell. Or if people eat too much popcorn, the books won't sell. It's just WEIRD how impatient I see some guys get when they put up their books, although it's kind of funny to see how many discounts get thrown up before the day is done. Do sellers expect their customers to remain online 24/7 or what? That was exactly the point I made (albeit with sarcasm) in an earlier sales thread that only lasted 4 hours before the seller took them to eBay. I pointed out that they had been on eBay for a whole hour already and no one had bought them! Seller didn't get it at all What's the rush? He had to wait at least 6 weeks to get the book slabbed, never mind the 30 years of "aging" the book, and he can't wait 5 hours to sell it???
