  1. What is that little black "rock" (?) supposed to be on the left side?
  2. Who has a garage sale on a Thursday. Must be in the hood. Originally they all started on Friday, then someone had the idea to push his/hers one day up to "beat" the others. Now they are mostly on Thursdays around here. Just Hector and the soccer moms.
  3. Not a good answer, but it seems you and the buyer are going to work it out. Thats good. Seems like a good answer to me. When you consider the number of sellers who come here claiming victimhood and blaming the buyer whenever something goes wrong, this looks pretty professional to me. Fault acknowledged and remedy applied. I'm guessing the issue has something to do with the use of media mail, is that it? We don't have "media mail" (at least I don't think so) here in Canada, so I've never been clear on what service it represents exactly. Yeah, it was a good response. You are right. Was just looking more for the "Dude really sorry, refund already given. I will never ship like that again." he did realize his mistake and made good. Ignoring the comics via media mail can of worms and shipping a ton of comics without boards, what about the claim of missing comics?
  4. The big knock on this book is that it does not actually feature any character's first appearance. It is therefore more akin to a Transformers 1 than it is a NM 98 in terms of significance and relevance. -J. Oh

  6. the average person should generally not expect similar returns to those that divad appears to get on ebay. But that also does not mean that his sales should be ignored as possible indicators of movement. He's either got some magic or 'magic', which is fine, get it while there's gettin' to be got. "appears to get"? As long as you deliver HG with great service and marketing, then anything can happen (as long as you are patient). If you need to dump books, then by all means, dump books. There are plenty of buyers who want no more than a "good deal". They are not my target market. I understand repeat customers coming back to your eBay ID for HG copies; but for this particular copy it was using one of your "newer" IDs with only 100 FB. You probably can't answer this, but why would a buyer pick a random 100 FB seller to spend $36 on a raw 9.8 of a common comic?
  7. I'll eat some crow, but I don't see a 1st Print MOS #18 going over $200. I'd love it -- I have a ton of copies -- but that's probably why it won't climb that high.
  8. How many times is this seller going to sell the exact same comic? http://www.ebay.com/sch/stonefist_collectables/m.html?item=201405111948&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2046732.m1684
  9. Am I missing something here? http://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-375-NM-1st-Print-VENOM-Gold-Foil-Cover-Double-Size-/201394774361?hash=item2ee4106159
  10. I may be responsible for: 4x Eternal Warrior #4 9.8 Harbinger #1 9.6 Harbinger #1 9.8 Adding a few more Valiants at WW Chicago.
  11. That guy's a tough little bugger. Any increases on Solar #3?
  12. There is a rumor of some form of Thunderbolts being in-line for a Netflix series.
  13. Well, I'll just see myself out, then.
  14. Do you recall the grades on these? Especially those Solars.... They were all raw, I don't recall exactly, but they would have been 9.2 to 9.6 for the most part I guess. I had dug most/all of them out of Tem/Dees dollar boxes years ago, had priced them Nov/Dec 2013 and they didn't sell in Philly. Again in Jan 2014, they didn't sell. I looked some books for repricing, but missed a few obviously. I don't mind as much b/c the guy did me a solid on some stuff so it was somewhat a payback, but the X-O went at the end of the show, so nobody saw them. I still have a few of each left, but will be pricing them higher. Sounds like a good show all-around. If you dig up some more early Valiants, I'm sure they'd sell fast here, too.
  15. Do you recall the grades on these? Especially those Solars....

  17. Great set! Was the 3rd print a local pick-up?
