  1. Maybe it was on a pulp? I thought it looked familiar for some reason.
  2. Sorry so long in editing the previous post, the power went out for a couple hours yesterday and I had to shimmy on to other preoccupations for awhile. Anybody know where that IW cover came from originally?
  3. Bounty, those are the first ones I've seen! Oh, and it's nice to see you coming out of your "mag forum" hole, btw.
  4. Just for good measure, here's another IW (and I'm still in alphabetical order! ) Nice to see IW stirring up some conversation, I bet that's the most their books have been talked about in years! Oh, and sorry for lagging on my scans, but I recently got Doom 3 for the X-Box. Honestly, a game horror fans should be eating up.
  5. Without digging through my boxes for confirmation I seem to think some other title did this as well. Can't think of it off the top of my skull...
  6. Great posts, Bounty! That HoM is probably modern, BUT the interior is BA reprints, so if you split the difference...
  7. "Hey! This isn't medium rare! Take this back, it's not how we ordered it!"
  8. Check out the equipment running along the floor on the bottom right between man and monster, that stuff looks like a complete redraw to me. As for the content, it is not a reprint of the Strange Worlds.
  9. I'd say a lot of it was completely redrawn. This was probably a cut/paste, cut/trace job. Look real close at the detail on the walls of the mechanical equipment. There are plenty more differences there. It's weird, but I like the IW cover better, I think!
  10. Cheers to that! There was a good point brought up, in that I don't think there is a definitive list of CA horror available. Could be tricky to, if you start counting the DC stuff that has been lumped into BA.
  11. A really cool title. Oh, and "Be My Ghost!" What a fine sense of humor! They slay me!
  12. Hey! Another EERIE #1 !!! Bummer, it's just an IW reprint book. Has a nice Wood cover, though. So really, there are FOUR Eerie #1's out there. Two from Avon, one from IW, and one from Warren if you count comic mags.
  13. Hey! Keep that modern talk where it belongs! You are SO Jay! Don't make me call out the Tall Man! Just kidding, ya know. Anyway, I would seriously give a big to the Pacific titles, by far my faves from the CA.
  14. Hot chick in bondage... And what does the first woman have in her hand?! Looks like a c......., oh it's just a candle!
  15. 'bout time we started getting some new blood on this thread!
  16. Yeah, I know whenever I take a romantic canoe trip with my girl I make her carry a firearm... just in case! Forget that! You get up there and row, woman! I'm doing the shooting!
  17. Oh yeah, baby! EERIE #1... OK, OK, it's "only" the #1 from 1951. Still, I love this cover. It may not be as good as the FIRST #1, but man, the colors...
  18. Maybe he doused him with some really quick acting lime or HCL? But yeah, that's a funny point, Jay!
  19. "Several EC Craig swipes" - OSG Nobody bothered to bump this thread during the Friday night bump fest!? No love for the PCH around here, I guess... Cool Hy Fleishman cover. I like how the cop skeleton is in command of a couple hell hounds...
  20. Who can deny the coolness of yet another animated skeleton???
  21. Man! Dig this! I just had to POST this CRAZY little mixed up mag! Because it blows me away how for at least 5 years in the early 1950's HORROR just dominated... even humor themed publications!
