  1. Very nice copy, Adam! Better than mine, that's for sure!
  2. The Franken-Train continues to roll on..... here's another. Ouch! Ya gotta figure this would hurt even a big lug like Franky!
  3. Jay, Yep that's a bondage cover. She's tied with rope in the story, but it must be the invisible kind on the cover. I like that slip as well. If you look close at the red in Franky's mouth it looks like blood, but is supposed to be his gumline. I've also always thought to myself: "Self, just what IS franky going to do with that skull and spine?!"
  4. Really at this point, do we need to know any more? I think we've heard enough from various parties to come to a conclusion. But yeah, it's like a soap opera isn't it? Can't wait to hear what happened next!
  5. Thank you! Here's another, and I'll have more to follow in the next couple days...
  6. Nice, Jay! I would have loved to have been there buying up all the Captain Company [#@$%!!!] & original art, plus I bet Seuling had some kick butt material at this con!
  7. Jay - Basically the first 17 or 18 issues of FRANKENSTEIN are humor. The rest are pure horror, and tend to be usually very brutal. Scrooge, thx for the links.
  8. Nah! Surprisingly, there is no lack of availability for Creepy 1, I see it all the time & usually dealers will come down on that one quite a bit for some reason. Guess because they are all over the place?
  9. I think it took b LLs for Briefer to do this one..... a close up of Franky & nothing else. It works well, too. Amazing.....
  10. Briefer has this one just oozing with atmosphere, don't you agree? The colors are a nice touch, too.
  11. I'm proud to make the 300th post for this thread the first scan of one of my favorite titles:
  12. Looks like most of the "Deadlings" are more interested in climbing man-made objects than in attacking Nancy. Geez! No wonder we beat them!
  13. Alas, poor ACG! I knew them well. This is why I never enter a drinking contest with a guy wearing a hooded mask! Love the text: "Don't you see who it is?!" Yeah, fool. It's Skeletor, he's come to claim back Castle Greyskull in an all or nothing game of "quarters!"
  14. Instead of ruining the good name of the classic Vincent Price "House of Wax" by releasing a "remake" featuring Paris Hilton, Hollywood should have taken the film and borrowed the title from this cover instead: "The Thing With the Golden Hair."
  15. http://povonline.com/iaq/IAQ04.htm Dang, a quick web search unearths the sad truth... Funny, how even with today's communications that some of these rumors are still floating around. Well, we'll get the answers slowly, one legend a time it would seem.....
  16. Bummer! And the rumor has been around so long! Hate to see it dispelled! Oh well! Wish it were true....
  17. Oh, what a bummer! For years Kenneth Landau has been touted as quitting comics and moving to Hollywood where he changed his name to Martin and pursued acting. Now what gives? Don't leave me hangin, Scrooge ol' buddy! What's the scoop!
  18. Happy to oblige, RJ! On to poor, oft maligned ACG. Glad to see they have been getting a little love lately. "EC swipe by Landau" - Overstreet Good old Landau, he went on to play the role of a lifetime as Lugosi in "Ed Wood". Awesome!
  19. Here's a SHOCKING cover. I magine the JOLT Wertham got when he saw this one!
  20. You gotta love the marketing on this. How can you go wrong with the "Crime Terror" genre???
  21. Amen! In fact, I think the internet and venues such as eBay surpassed the Overstreet Price Guide in importance to this hobby when they hit the scene. Much more of a reflection of true FMV on auction sites, IMO.
  22. You'd think some space-age Round Up would be easier. Maybe some Weed B Gone.
  23. An interesting book from the Sci-Horror category. Nobody did it like EC, but this was a nice effort. I wonder if they were on Venus for this one...
