  1. I'll take these ones: Phantom Lady 12 Great Action Comics 8 Great Action Comics 9 Human FLy 1 Spirit 12 Spirit 11
  2. It's possible there were no notes on the books in question. I buy notes all the time, and I recently bought them on a book and never received an email with the notes and actually emailed CGC today and was told that there were no notes on my book and they'd refund my $10 back to me. It's rare, but I guess it happens. Usually when there are no notes, it says that and won't take your cc info.
  3. Really sorry to hear about this! I am paranoid of this sort of thing and can't recommend enough trying out these little flood alarms in the future. I keep them under sinks/toilets/fridges.. anything that could potentially leak. They drive me nuts with the batteries dying/beeping every few months, but they've caught leaks and small floods for me on multiple occasions that would've been disasters if not for the alarms. Tried looking on Amazon and the ones I have (Rialco 84010 Flood Alarm) are unavailable right now, but I think Home Depot has them or something similar. Something to consider at least!
  4. I'll take Special Ed per pm. Thanks! And for the other cool books here!
  5. Congrats! Looks legit to me. Sold in Heritage a few years back. They said it was an original owner copy, so definitely a great copy to have. I was just about to make an offer on eBay and as I clicked "submit offer" it said "listing has ended!"
  6. Very lucky that they were found! Maybe the fact that CGC's new cases are so hard to crack open made it so this guy didn't even bother trying that and it led to him being caught! I'm happy they caught the guy and the comics were unharmed!
  7. Me three years ago: "They are NEVER going to make an Adam Strange movie, it's safe to sell my 8.0 Showcase 17.. I can just buy it back later." Me now - Still looking forward to this show though!
  8. Even if one or two of the (only 8) 9.6 copies became 9.8's one day, I don't know that the value would crash by any means considering how 9.6's are $10k books themselves. The 9.6 GL 76 example was a predictably poor investment, especially on a 1970 (!!) book. But the 9.8 sales of GL 76 (only two copies) were $37k then $32k, so not nearly as bad as the 9.6 example. I think there's a pretty big difference between a 9.8 '64 book (BB 54) and a '70 book (GL 76) or even a '66 book (FF 52), so I wouldn't expect to see this copy (or another 9.8 copy) to sell at a big discount any time soon.
  9. I think you can get 25 books per invoice in a package. Every time I submit more than this at once, it gets split into multiple invoices of 25 each -- so I'd assume that is the most that will fit in one box (for the $60 FedEx Ground cost).
  10. Yeah, I'm not sure if it was a policy change or just a mix up. In my case it was a Captain Marvel Adventures #1 with a missing back cover. It was graded last month as a Green .5 (no back cover), but I have another different copy of the very same book (also missing a back cover) which is a Blue .5 (no back cover) graded maybe a year ago. So it's either a change or inconsistency, but given the fact that there are many GA books with missing back covers in Blue .5 holders, I'd personally prefer that they stuck with putting those books in blue holders, since that's the way it has been in the past.
  11. I think this is a recent policy change possibly, because I had a book come back a few weeks ago -- GA book missing the back cover -- was expecting a blue .5 (since there are many blue "back cover missing" GA books out there), but I also got a green label Qualified .5 with a note about the missing back cover. I actually think it makes more sense having incomplete books in the non-blue holders really, even though I'm disappointed having my book in the green holder!
  12. This book has been listed (scam) more times than I can count. I honestly don't understand how anyone could possibly still be bidding on this, considering it has been listed with the same pics/description DOZENS of times on eBay over the past two years on multiple accounts. Here's the original/only legit sale from years ago: http://www.comicsvalue.com/FIGHT-AGAINST-CRIME-HORROR-AND-TERROR-VOL-1-20-JULY-1954-STORY-COMICS-VF/251390990231.html
  13. Those are awesome! Have you ever seen a high grade March of Comics #285 (2nd app. of Astro Boy) before? I'm not sure if you collect any of the March of Comics issues, but I've never seen a nice one for sale before (a 5.5 sold for $650 a couple years ago).
  14. It would be highly unlikely since his story isn't at the centerfold or outer wraps, but there are coverless copies of the book out there, so maybe one day we'll see one for sale.
  15. I have nothing against him, but he was only in four Smallville episodes, so the whole "best known for his role in Smallville" line always sounds funny to me!
  16. To be fair though, a 9.2 would sell for way above the NM- price (even after a $4k jump this year). Same could be said for every DC on that list really.
  17. They had one of these on the most recent Pawn Stars .
  18. Take the Wilbur as per pm. Thanks!
