  1. And I can't get a single bid @ $6.99 and free priority shipping No way am I putting back cover scans up for everything
  2. That's awesome! What's the story there? (thumbs u People traveling through space, meeting aliens, hilarity and adventure ensue. Does he really need to go over every detail?
  3. I set up the COMIC ART COMMISSION ESCROW to try to avoid these types of threads. Someone needs to get the word out
  4. NO IDEA where his ideas come from ( I don't think we really want to know ) But I think this is most impressive: 3) He does one of these EVERY DAY
  5. It's no secret I sell art for Steven Russell Black , but when he wants to put his stuff on eBay I have to get in the trenches and fight with everyone else for one of his drawings Just got these three in the mail today
  6. This comic didn't come out until 2000, but I think it still deserves a place in this thread. Obviously they had to wait for the cover artist to put the final details on place before going to print
  7. I'm not so sure that's any worse than Liefeld himself. What the hell is going on with the left hip/thigh area?? I don't know, but the whole book is filled with equally bad art by the same person. I think there is a Nira-X back up story and it's by someone else. DG I used to own a page from issue 4
  8. Wow! So the seller didn't even know what they had? The listing talks about a 1993 graphic novel, and doesn't even mention this was the back cover of Deadworld 10 and the 1st Caliber Comics publication. shocker
  9. My first piece from Jim Rugg. This piece was used for the tip in plate for the limited hardcover edition of SUPERMAG CAF LINK
  10. Sure, but DID MILLER ! TOUCH ! THE ! PAGE ! DID HE TOUCH IT! ! ! ! ! ! !
  11. Thats is awesome doc Thanks! I thought it was a super strong piece of art on it's own - I really dig the fisheye feel to it. Killer cover. Definitely stands on it's own. You don't need to be a fan of the book to love this cover
  12. While checking the comics section of eBay circa 1996 I would occasionally see OA listed. One day I saw PREACHER 3 page 16 listed. I ended up sniping it on a Sunday evening, shortly after 9pm . At the time a "mint" copy of the book was running $30-$40. I knew I got a bargain when I got the page for $130. It will be one of the last pages to leave my collection
  13. ? sorry... being a bit thick... I don't get that I've never known of SplashPage/Mark Hay to not price something. I may have missed something before, but as far as I know he puts prices on the art he sells. Until recently when I noticed him putting "Taking Offers" on the WD covers. Not criticizing the new policy, I'd do the same thing after multiple months of seeing the covers I just recently sold being flipped back and forth among collectors. So, instead of pricing them I guess he decided to not sell to the first person to hit the site and purchase, but rather let the collectors make offers on the cover.
  14. I have no input on the price. But I like how Mark Hay has quit pricing them. The WD market is that insane
  15. Been quite awhile since I saw a piece pop up that gave me that ache in my gut and i "had to have it"
  16. I use BagsUnlimited for my oversize mylars. I buy the mylars made for newspapers. A DPS will fit in them fine.
  17. Not sure if they would go for that since there's already a forum created for OA. seems like the modern stuff only gets interest here. I love the modern stuff. This thread should have been started in the OA section. Now that I think about it, the "this week in your OA collection" covers everything. But a thread like this in the OA section would be cool also. An argument could be made to make a thread for each 10-15 year span from 1940(?) to present day, i.e. "Post your new art from 1940-1955 here" "post your new art from 1956-1970 here" ect. But i like seeing all genres covered in the "This week . . . " thread. I enjoy viewing art from all eras but collect mostly modern.
  18. I agree! http://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=98361 I decided to take advantage of my CAF Premium membership and upload larger scans of my art. I'll have my complete stories back on display soon
  19. Nice grab. After 15+ years collecting OA the appeal of a single random page is wearing off a little. I really like have a complete story so much more, they are just a lot harder to come by.
  20. one of three commissions from Mr. Mike DeCarlo GOOD GRIEF And in case you want to be immortalized and leave a comment on CAF PLEASE DO SO HERE
  21. Great group of pages. Having a page from a story you like is nice, but having consecutive pages is even sweeter. Congrats on your first OA pick up and welcome to your doom
  22. Where is your comic dealer???? Who cares! Where are the cheerleaders?
