  1. DC did that with tech880 (or at least licensed someone to do it) but so far looks like quantities are not so limited.
  2. Wow what a show. Really well done. U mean to tell me Marvel couldn't get it done with 5 Netflix shows and Gerard did?? Congrats!! finished ep 2 (nice appearance by Mary J Blige!) and really loving everything here. Nooooooooo complaints i think if this was made into a movie there would be far more awareness as I cannot imagine this failing at the box office. 5 stars. Really
  3. Read in the graders notes if there are indications of non color breaking creases or other significant wear that will strengthen the option of pressing it+the added sig would definitely be worth it
  4. But if you have an infatuation with Chuck Rozanski, you are a collector
  5. If u sell your asm129 for a buck you're not a collector
  6. I'm waiting for someone to say it and no one ever will the state of the current publishing market relies on the secondary market. Period that has been going on for decades but the differences now are: up till early 00s printed matter reigned supreme also up till early 00s comic book properties weren't a huge deal as they are now. The only reason why comic book publishers are around now is because of collectors. Not readers so the publishers will do anything in their power to feed that hunger and publish more "perceived low print" variants, push harder to option more properties. where will the publishers be today without movies and variant? nowehere
  7. I think the survey in relation to the topic are confusing. Topic talks about challenges of selling comics. Survey mentions "vintage" comics. You'd be surprised at how many sellers/buyers are out there trading bronze-modern comics and hardly touch silver/golden. My guess would even be that it's higher in favor of the latter. And so, I would further suggest to separate eBay from comiclink, heritage etc since I'm sure that most eBay buyers/sellers don't trade with those two unless you're intentions are to survey ONLY Silver & Golden buyers/sellers, that survey would have to be revised for best results
  8. I reported OLH first a couple of months ago (Harley 42) that book is still relatively cheap considering it's a 1st app. Looks like it caught on if she has a series and books are selling out i guess this is a new trend for the big 2.. take popular characters and create a new character out of them; batman who laughs, cosmic GR, weapon H, immortal hulk, gwenpool and now old Harley smh.... u could probably trace it down to spider-gwen as the founder of that silly movement. Gotta find a name for this gimmic.....
  9. The success (or lack of) Valiant movies will be indicated by one thing only - the fans. The whole point of adapting movies/TV shows by different publishing companies, popular writers and of course big properties, is to attract the existing fans of those streams to the films, therefore adding more meat to the existing bone (being the genre). You don't necessarily need to have ALOT of fans, but they need to be DIE HARD fans, that will essentially act as agents to the product, in other words spread the word about the film. I actually do see that happening with Valiant. But yeah, that will probably be their biggest test
  10. That's a book I sold too soon. Won at an auction for a dollar and flipped a couple of months later for 30. Should've subbed it cause it was pristine.
  11. I flip houses and comics for a living
  12. glad to see MG is still at it... not the same as his older work but still nice
  13. As many as there are, the answer will always be - not enough graders at CGC
  14. Yup that's silly why not just print more and lie about a lower print run like everyone else
  15. Wow I can't believe that we live in a world where Marvel Age gets cherry picked
  16. Yup you have a few years on me, I was 4-5 when that book came out and remember it like it was yesterday. Gazing at that cover from within the ads in the comics... of course I was too young to even assess value to books but all I knew is that mom wasn't buying it
  17. I hope you get to own a piece, but with it I hope this doesn't influence her to liquidate all his art (assuming she holds many pieces) and create a flood in the market
  18. Very tough book indeed. I've been searching for a NM copy for years and came across a few but they are always overpriced. Never came across a nice copy in the wild. This book is so underpriced for its significance in my opinion. This was a grail for me as a kid before I even considered comic book collecting, my mom just wouldn't justify spending that much money on a comic
  19. It's those rabid Gerard Way fans i don't expect those prices to go down for awhile
  20. If I tell ya these ended up being 9.2-9.4 you wouldnt believe me https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Marvel-The-Punisher-1-4-Issues-of-Limited-Edition-Comic-Book-Bonus-/273690484051?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=%2FuRnlzLKICBPa5xLGdT76fNCUIY%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc
  21. happy with this 1:100 newsstand variant https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spawn-Batman-Comic-1-Comic-Book-Image-Todd-McFarlane-Newsstand-Variant-1-100-/362554456665?hash=item5469edfa59%3Ag%3AA9QAAOSwHSVcYLPx&nma=true&si=%2FuRnlzLKICBPa5xLGdT76fNCUIY%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  22. These 2. Especially the treasury. a marvel vs DC movie is as sure as it gets. When that happens watch these two explode in price. My prediction is close to $1000 for a NM copy of the treasury and solid $50 for the modern. IF they end up using Access, than marvel vs dc #1 may very well be a 3-400$ In 9.8
  23. It does not. It only shows that on offers sent in from the buyer
  24. It has just occurred to me that when a seller sends a direct offer to a buyer on a BIN, if the buyer choses to accept the offer, it would be then recorded on eBays sold listings as SOLD with THE ORIGINAL price offered to the public, instead of the offered price agreed by buyer/seller. So if I paid $1 by accepting an offer from a seller, for a $1000 listed book of his, eBay will still show that book being sold for $1000 with no line crossed against that price (suggesting a best offer was accepted) I wonder how many books were improperly reported by such offers
