    asm300 was an instant hit. Not because of venom. But because of Mcfarlane. That book is what Mcfarlane was seeking after years and years of hard work. It was a $6 in 1988 $12 book by 1989 and a $40 by 1991 soon after McSpidey series was released. Back then, it was labeled as the "giant, Mcfarlane black costume battle" book

    I passed on many warehouse finds back in the day 300 x asm361 300 new mutants 1 300 punisher 1 300 Spawn 1... I couldn't fathom spending 3-500 bucks on those back when I was picking silver/Bronze Age collections for similar prices 4-5 years ago. Just didn't make sense

    I think a lot of people see this more as a "first marvel Asian superhero movie" than another iron fist exploitation. A lot of speculators hope this will scoreas high as black panther did with African Americans, only with Asians this time.
