  1. I typically leave questions in the caf mailbox if I'm curious about something. seems like that's the more appropriate venue to have a conversation rather than the comments section.
  2. fwitw, seems like the dk3 interior pages that have gone up to auction have done well
  3. cover to my first book. its whereabouts are unknown. its a throw-away issue so if it ever shows up I'm probably the only buyer
  4. unfortunately social media is eating up a lot of the airtime at least for me that caf used to get. its much easier and quicker to post art onto instagram and fb and lately for me its garnered more interaction and views than caf has. caf is a great tool, but there are so many other free and easy outlets out there that you will probably have people leave and not return if it was paid for site.
  5. new warriors has a cult following. I have quite a few of the issues from back in the day. I recall it being a well drawn and interesting book.
  6. can u guys induct machismo into the cabal at this point?
  7. sodas and water? not cabal level. pic needs more champagne and bottles of wine.
  8. Is the file size to this one massive? Ive tried cleaning out several things but cant get this one to load
  9. would love to see another joe Quesada sketch opportunity! also bring in some Canadians - finch, fabok, keown and manapul. outside of them, risso, Sienkiewicz, Kirkham, Kelley jones, platt, bachalo, jim lee, sean murphy, art adams, Bermejo, jock, mattina, dellotto.
  10. also easier to negotiate in person rather than over email. main problem I experience with seeing art in person at show is that there are stacks of them and are generally pretty unorganized making it a hassle to flip through everything.
  11. must mean the free sketch I got from sgm is worth at least 2k then right?
  12. random book, random artist? not for me. too many other things for me to put my money to work towards than something I have no connection to.
  13. yep, interesting case study on what happens to a niche when a big player gets out of the market.
  14. yikes. that is a ton of WD. too much to even look at.
  15. SGM's white knight pages look lovely. not $3k minimum starting point lovely, but lovely nonetheless. Looking forward to the book more for the art than the story.
  16. waiting years imo is nutty. people forget that life happens to artists as well. artists are not immune to unexpected death or life changing events that can cause them to no longer draw. I experienced first hand both of those scenarios and at those instances, your money is basically left as a donation.
  17. nothing wrong with outing artists. statueforum had a nice review section that isn't as used as it used to be: http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=100146
  18. A Tribe Called Quest is an American hip-hop collective formed in 1985[2] and originally composed of MC and main producer Q-Tip,[3] MC Phife Dawg, DJ and co-producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad and MC Jarobi White, who left the group in 1991 after the release of their debut album.
  19. bump for exhibitor pass. if anyone has an extra, please pm me.
  20. Abysmal show for art or sketch collectors.
