  1. I put up my OO copy and the auction just closed pretty decently: link
  2. Action #521- 1st Vixen of Suicide Squad has been getting some surprising prices lately...
  3. Got these from an ebay seller who likely didn't know they were variants at a nice price and they arrived today:
  4. A bit of serendipity. I just finished reading Swamp Thing #20 and on the last page was this ad:
  5. Never seen this Action #1 reprint before: Peanut Butter
  6. I'll add a few favorites that haven't been mentioned yet: Feldstein Wolverton Crumb J. Severin honorable mention... Rick Altergott
  7. They closed yesterday, it takes awhile for completed auctions to show up... I see them now... wow!
  8. I had your lot in my watch list... was amazed at the final price!
  9. Kudos to Brian on the Two-Gun Kid #57 transaction! (thumbs u
  10. That's Jim Lee's first X-Men work, not his first work. It'd have more potential if Marvel hadn't systematically eroded the X-Men comic franchise over the last 20 years with a combination of poor stories and overexposure. I thought he did a backup story in Xmen classics? Racking my brain. Coming up with nothing. May have to do some research. Classic X-Men #39 And his first comic work:
  11. Did he hang a 'HOT HOT HOT - MOVIE ON THE WAY ONE DAY - CGC AND PGX IT' sign over it? No, I saw it, but you were close. The sign above it said "TIGHT! TIGHT! TIGHT!"
  12. Here's a bundle pack which on the back lists and pictures the contents with the DCU logos:
  13. Here's one from '86: Back cover: Of special note is the revelation that our heroes live together in a small 3 room apartment which I imagine applies to the comic creators as well.
  14. What's the big deal with that? The only thing I can think of is "early Dreadstar" or "First Full Dreadstar" but wouldn't Epic 1-2 be better options since EI 1/2 are officially noted online as the first app of Dreadstar? Epic #1 is the 1st appearance of his sword, #2 is 1st Vance and Epic #3 is when Vance becomes Dreadstar when he and the sword combine. Yeah, I know that, but since the Sword was actually Dreadstar, Epic 1 is noted as his first appearance in many publications. If Epic 3 had Dreadstar on the cover, it would likely change in the CGC world, but none of them seem to. Either way, it's a great series and definitely picking up steam. I just sold a raw 9.2 copy of Epic #3 for $100 USD plus shipping privately and a raw 9.4 copy just sold for over $160 USD The one on ebay that sold for $167.50? I can't believe there were 125 bids to get it there!

It's fun to look at the past month's ebay sales of Epic 3, with what little interest there was in it 2 weeks ago and what it's doing now.
  16. No mention of Epic Illustrated #3 yet in this thread... it is heating up.
  17. Just bought this on ebay (seller's pics): Looks like it might have white pages too
  18. Just got my first copy and already looking to upgrade, but an acceptable placeholder.
  19. Recently bought this off ebay & can't wait to read it when it gets here in a few days: A movie inspired by the real Skinwalker Ranch will be released next month just in time for Halloween. Paranormal/UFOs/Conspiracy Theory/[Cattle Abduction/Mutilation]/Cryptozoology, etc.
