  1. Holy , that's a goldmine. I'd be torn over whether to sell 'em or keep 'em though, so cool! I was up all night researching... Found out quite a bit about them. What I originally thought, that they were knock-offs was not so. These are the original Topps Rubber Uglies from 1967. At $5 per box they were a steal.
  2. Each box holds 72 pieces, check out this recent eBay result for one piece:
  3. Another day, another auction. Tonight I scored 3 boxes of Horror Pets. Looks like they're from the '60s or very early '70s.
  4. At auction tonight I bought these 11 unused Hanna Barbera coloring books. They might be hard to find, I only see one on eBay (used & incomplete). Also on eBay I see there was at least one box set with 3 books included- one recently sold for $50. I notice cover variants on the examples from eBay & mine, here are borrowed pics of the Judy Jetson/Johnny Quest book for comparison (all three are different from each other, most notably at top left and right on cover).
  5. I listed some on eBay last night and that was the first one to go. I had best offer but they jumped on full price.
  6. I went to a local auction Wednesday night and bought a couple boxes of misc. children's type books and there were several adult coloring books from 1970s San Francisco publishers including: The Miller's Tale has some great Shelton art.
  7. This went under the radar while looking through the fanzines, after a closer look, it's the storyboard from the 2nd episode of the first season of Star Trek The Animated Series... Found the trailer of the episode on YouTube:
  8. Group pics- here's the bulk of it, minus a batch of misc. stuff:
  9. Thanks! Does anyone know what these sticker (stamp-like) sheets are? They were tucked into a calendar along with a Spock pinup art piece.
  10. Box of 100+ Star Trek fanzines, newsletters & misc. items 1968-1981 (majority from the '70s) at local auction tonight.
  11. Yeah, I need one. Edit: notifications are over rated!
  12. Ahh, the good ol' days, seems like only last week:
  13. I loved BMP right away but am finding it hard to warm up to Hillbilly... so far.
  14. Will #7 2nd printing also outpace #9? https://www.ebay.com/itm/331902490455
  15. One thing I do know about these comics, is they aren't one owner OO books. It turns out I know the guy who sold them, I've been to many auctions over the past 18 years or so that he also attended. Although auction rivals, we've always got along. He also knows my dad from auctions and has always been friendly with him. He told me these were the accumulation of hard to sell items (eBay) over many years. If there was anything really good, he would know... But he may be unaware of the books that became hot over the last few years. He knows comics but may not be current.
  16. Looks like you picked up a lot of nice books Thanks, it was fun! Here's the Craigslist pic that made me want to drive 2 hours for them: That's a drool worthy load of books. Looks like you did well. Makes you wonder what the guy before you got though... There was a comic shop owner looking through them at the same time I was and we both pulled a stack. I got there before he did, but it was at start time on the second day of the sale.
  17. Looks like you picked up a lot of nice books Thanks, it was fun! Here's the Craigslist pic that made me want to drive 2 hours for them: Would love to have the Charltons. The Gorgo was gone by the time I got there, but there were several Charltons in the stacks. The only one I bought was a Lash Larue #57.
