That would entail 65 issues of sweat mags, plus the compilation, as it contains an original tale,Hidden Hippie Caper! Congrats!
I have hundreds of those bad boys. The issues with Pussycat in them are after most of the Nazi torture books which makes them a little easier to find. Still tough though, took me 4 or 5 years and I'm sure I'm still missing a few. Just haven't had a chance to go back through and check things off.
As I'm sure you know, there are several of the later issues that are actually reprints of earlier issues.

I don't have the reprint collection but I think I have almost all the originals at this point (at least the ones from my checklist). I want the collection as well because (as you mentioned) they are reportedly "cleaned up" and it would be nice to read in that format. I finally found my Male Annual about a year after you posted yours.

Thanks, guys! I think this book is sold but I'm just waiting on confirmation from the buyer. Until I receive a firm claim, it's still available.

My Box was Opened from Bottom, 3 items stolen from my 25 CGC comic shipment.
Both CGC and Fed-Ex have higher secure facilities, so not sure how they did it.
It was done in a big rush, 12 comics out of the Plastic Bags,badly repacked with 50% of Cardboard removed, Outer Box Crushed.
4 CGC Holders were Cracked, with a 5th Holder badly Scratched.
CGC is paying Reholder costs and shipping both ways for the 5 Damaged items, so Kudos for the Top-Notch service.
Sadly, I do not insure my parcels, as this is my ever such issue with CGC or Fed-Ex since they opened for business;
These are the Stolen items;
Super Mario Bros. Special Edition #1 Valiant 1990 CGC 8.0 CGC Registration #4011460010
Super Mario Bros. #1 Valiant 2/1991 CGC 9.8 CGC Registration #4011460014 (GPA Value $900)
Super Mario Bros. #1 Valiant 2/1991 CGC 9.6 CGC Registration #4011460015 (GPA Value $450)
If anyone sees these 3 CGC Registration numbers, let me know;
I'm sorry to hear this, Doug. Hope it gets sorted out. I'll keep an eye out for those books.

This is my copy of Back Issues that I spent 12 years searching for a copy. It has a classic Dave Stevens cover that is rarely available. Since I discovered this hidden gem, I've only ever seen 5 or 6 copies either here on the boards or available for sale, of which this is one. There are only 2 copies on the census. A copy just sold on eBay for $2,728. This copy is very solid and clean with only a few minor issues so I'm asking a bit less than the recent sale. I have not made any attempt to improve this book via either cleaning or pressing. Price $2100 shipped.

I just watched it last night. It was better than a lot of the latest offerings but still pretty mediocre. The stories they're telling are really, really thin lately. I wish they'd spend more time working on the -script and less time on clever easter eggs and try to one up the CGI effects with each film. Until that, I'm afraid that the films are going the same way as the comics- all flash and not much substance.

Croydon 9K, the second numbered Croydon digest. Cover art by L.B. Cole.
These L.B. Cole Croydon mysterys are the kind of thing I'd pay the freight to complete but they just never turn up anymore, anywhere so I'll just plod along filling the holes once a year or so and sharing with you, my friends. The black covers are in great shape for these and the pages are blazing white
Nice find, SA! Likewise, I've been working on those for a long time. Very tough to find in decent shape and yours looks pretty sweet!

I did not know about it being issued with a dust jacket. I also have a regular Spanish HC copy and a misprinted Spanish HC copy. Neither Spanish copies have a dust jacket.
The misprint has the same cover as the US version. It says "A Warren Publication" under the printed "Jose Gonzales" signature on the cover when it should not. Only the US HC will have it.
I got the 3 as a set from a collector in Australia (?) a few years back off of ebay.
On 12/7/2021 at 11:48 AM, chevalmeow said:I found a notation on the seller's sale listing that the HC had a dust jacket that was "done professionally", so maybe it was not part of the original shipping. I failed to save the seller information so I can't contact for further questions.
According to David Horne, author of "A Gathering Horror", the regular Spanish HC had a printing of 1000 copies. The misprinted copies are more scarce.
The dust jacket is heavy stock paper and very nicely done. The second scan is the regular Spanish HC and the last scan is the Spanish HC with the misprint on cover.

When these were delivered to Warren, they were dismayed to find that a large percentage ended up being unsalable. The ink used was very tacky, and the books were stuck together. You will notice on many of the copies that they did ship have small color pulls at various spots, most often in the logo. I’ve never heard an accurate number on how many copies they salvaged, but rumor had been about half. These were shipped in a cardboard mailer via direct order. They did not have a dust jacket, and yes, that’s something fan made shown earlier. I posted pictures of my box and copy earlier in this thread (pages 32-33).

There is apparently a Spanish language version of the Hardcover. I say apparently because the only one I ever saw on eBay was listed as such. IIRC, the pics did show Spanish in the word balloons. I wonder if there were 500 S&N copies of that version also or a combined English/Spanish run of 500 total?
I have a copy of the Spanish Vampirella HC Special. But it's neither signed nor numbered, IIRC.

Vampirella's - Show 'em off
in Comic Magazines
Posted
Having tracked both of these for a long time, I think the difference you're seeing is popularity. There is considerably more demand for the Vampirella Special. The Spirit gets very little love despite the incredible quality of the material (both the series issues and the Special). I anticipate this changing in the years to come. Will Eisner is one of the absolute greats.
