I'm not going to see it in theaters , and it has nothing to do with "pandemic". I just have no urgency to see it. No Way Home debunked the notion of "pandemic era" box office and the term needs to be permanently retired as an excuse for a movie under performing/flopping. People will go to see movies they want to see. -J.

We need to drop the lame qualifier of "pandemic era" from these gloss articles. In reality, this is just an "okay" result. -J.

Agreed. But therein lies the rub. The odds of two otherwise identical books being offered publicly simultaneously are slim to none and it is impossible to jump inside the heads of every bidder to divine which factors did or did not play a role in their bidding. -J.

The 5.5 actually went for $120k on heritage, which is very close to what the 5.5 on comiclink , without "white pages" on the label sold for shortly after ($117k), and the 4.0 that sold on comilink for $78k is also consistent with other recent 4.0 sales of copies that do not have "white pages" on the label. In short, no consistent or qualifiable differences in prices are observed based on that alone. -J.

You're right. We should all probably hope for the best more often, at least until the movie actually comes out. But the trailer and cast leave me "meh" so far, and , fair or not, a trailer can still make or break a film. -J.

Well... right now I'm only talking about trailer views. Since people didn't know about any of that other stuff for sure about no way home before the moie actually came out. So, on that front, no way home had 355 million trailer views to Batman's 22 million in the first 24 hours. Like I said - this movie just doesn't seem to be galvanizing people anywhere near like no way home did. -J.
