  1. Can't seem to find what this sold for on 130point for some reason. Anybody else have better luck ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/125018328473?hash=item1d1bac4d99:g:l3gAAOSwSwphnm2E#vi__app-cvip-panel -J.
  2. There's no way Disney "only" spent $100MM on Eternals P&A. It was more like in the $150-200MM range. Just like it was for Black Widow. Maybe a little less on shang-chi. The P&A spent on No Time to Die pushed that film's all in to 500MM. A world wide P&A expense, regardless of budget , can run 100MM. Take a look at The Nun, for example. $50MM production. budget give or take but reportedly spent $90‐some million on P&A. -J.
  3. Yeah especially since after next weekend it's losing all its screens to spider-man, and it isn't going to make 16MM+ next weekend. -J.
  4. Wait I thought war machine was "captain America" now ? -J.
  5. I fear that not simply recasting black Panther is another serious miscalculation, as would be blowing another 200MM on The Marvels production budget. Spidey is more of a Sony production but if it dovetails into the next Strange movie (as it seems to do), then that one should be fine. Is Thor actually in the Thor movie , or is it just going to be Lady Thor? -J.
  6. So...as predicted, 0% chance this turkey hits 400 million worldwide at this point. Another 2021 black eye for Feige and the MCU. -J.
  7. So you did. That was a nice and very timely pick up. You certainly did better on your price than I did on mine. Lol -J.
  8. The pitiful box office numbers for phase 4 tells us you're not the only one. Eventually it will narrow down to the same legacy characters it always does- the likes of spider-man and batman. There will always be wayne and Parker in movies. There'll be some x-men thrown in. Some avengers movies with the legacy characters brought back. The rest.... Seriously, who actually cares ? -J.
  9. I mean you're not wrong but is it all really about just the budgets or maybe people just aren't really that in to phase 4? Like, at all. -J.
  10. Evidently he had 3. He sold one 6 months ago, the second one yesterday, and this is his last copy. Timing is everything baby! -J.
  11. $4550 for this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255240122690?hash=item3b6d7f3142:g:Gf8AAOSwOGFhmu9U#vi__app-cvip-panel -J.
  12. This guy was obviously watching. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185189898361?hash=item2b1e2d9879:g:nVcAAOSwVgVhpEMo -J.
  13. Finished at 1850. Boy was I wrong lol. Well looks like Groo has arrived. On another note , even the Pacific #1 (his first cover appearance) is getting some heat. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294569120946?hash=item4495b014b2:g:WPcAAOSwJL9hm8gy#vi__app-cvip-panel -J.
  14. The losses are what get written off, genius. Obviously. -J.
  15. I'm pretty sure it's a revenue sharing agreement but Sony foots the entire production budget, last I heard. -J.
  16. Black Widow and Eternals are lost causes. They are complete and total write offs, even accounting for black Widow's (alleged) D+ money. They both were simply waaaay too expensive, even if Corona wasn't a thing , there should have been at least one rational mind to ask "hey guys, maybe we shouldn't spend 350-400MM all in dollars on these particular properties?". Even shang-chi at "only" about 300MM all in is a preposterous amount to spend on that movie, and it hasn't made any profit either theatrically. Spider-man is going to save Disney's year with these things, but , oops!, they're going to have to split it with Sony. Hard to believe that some genius at Disney thought it wise to spend MORE on black widow (??) And eternals (???) And almost as much on shang chi (?) As they did on a 2.5 hour spider-man movie. -J.
  17. It is. And wandavision, while obviously well produced, was nearly unwatchable. The others I probably will never bother with due to a complete lack of interest. -J.
  18. I have observed no consistent or relevant difference in prices between newsstand and direct or even copies with "white pages" and "off white/white pages" on the label. -J.
  19. I don't know. I was pointing out recent FRESH GPA all time highs for the book. You are aware that it is all green arrows across the board for the book on there, right? Or do you think the odd lower end sales of $4k still aren't impressive despite the fact that the book was barely breaking 2k in a 9.8 earlier in the year ? -J.
  20. I agree. Far from home is a Sony production and the vast majority of it looks to be call backs to all the Sony films- but with Dr. Strange in it. -J.
