  1. Just looked into it. It is a reprint. Published a month after the the trade dress version. -J.
  2. For the purposes of this list, second printings are not "variants". -J.
  3. Possibly might post a truncated version in the near future. Thee is an updated Top 20 version buried several pages back... -J.
  4. Not bad for a copy that would grade at a 5.0-6.0, at best. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384453534708?hash=item59833763f4:g:afkAAOSwHidhbZEE -J.
  5. Not to pour salt on the wound but the last 9.8 sale of the book was for $33k+. -J.
  6. Did you get the Ramos ASM 4 silk variant? Those were in 5 below packs too. -J.
  7. Lol Like I said on these same boards people discussed getting them from 5 below, as they did in the comments section of that article. Not being able to find pictures of such a thing six+ years after the fact doesn't come as much of a surprise, and the relatively large amount of slabs on the CGC census (700+) speaks for itself. -J.
  8. This article from 2016 references the 5 below packs as do the comments section.... https://comicbookinvest.com/2016/07/06/variant-heat-check-7616/ -J.
  9. I don't know if there are pics floating around but when they were out they were discussed at length on these very boards. An as far as the variant dump prior to that which the book was also in , somebody posted a screen shot of the book on the list. I would say there are at least twice as many copies printed of the book, based on the census population alone though. 700+ is a lot for a "rare" variant. -J.
  10. Actually yes the UF 4 variant was indeed put into 5 below packs, and that was after it was also liquidated in a diamond variant dump. I don't know how or why anybody thinks there are 1400 copies out there, given these circumstances and the already 700+ slabbed copies, the number is certainly much, much higher than that. -J.
  11. That's a different 9.8 copy, and yes , the other one sold. -J.
  12. It actually did sell. It showed up on 130point this morning. - for $12k. -J.
  13. Can anybody help out with what this sold for ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/185105384743?hash=item2b19240527:g:EAsAAOSwCf1hZ3yJ -J.
  14. Ebay has superior results subsequent to this sale. -J.
  15. I'm sticking with 125-150k. There may be a premium on a 9.8, but 4× over a 9.6? Not really. There are 30 blue label 9.8's and only 54, 9.6's. A 9.8 should be no more than about 2-2.5× a 9.6 IMO. -J.
  16. Which of his very desired books have come down significantly, specifically? -J.
  17. I'm familiar with that one. I thought the other guy was saying another 9.8 was coming up for an auction. -J.
  18. It is ludicrous and assuming it is real, an obvious extreme outlier at this point. In a traditional auction, I would imagine it would go for somewhere around $125k- still a ludicrous amount, but more in line with what down grades are doing. -J.
  19. The 1:25 variant of the first printing is the rarest and most expensive of the publisher variants and has been for quite some time now. That one. -J.
  20. Not too many opportunities to get a 0.5-.1.0 in a major GA grail. -J.
