  1. Awesome! Thank you for updating the list Amadeus. Here is my copy for inclusion: -J.
  2. Very nice congrats. It's always a refreshing change of pace when a book comes back "higher" than what you expect. -J. PS: Not a bad new sig line you have there now yourself my friend. (thumbs u
  3. Interesting thread with plenty of butthurt. Thanks for posting. Yeah I've had books repeatedly downgrade sometimes significantly from PGX to CGC. As such I will never buy one again. The chances of a "10" book in a PGX slab turning into a CGC "10" are zero. I normally don't like to speak in absolutes. This is one time though I feel it's appropriate. I would be interested to see the results of having a creator re-trace a signature in front of CGC to go for a yellow label though. Of course the third option is just leaving at is. Or cracking it and sticking it in a mylar if PGX labels turn your stomach. -J.
  4. Here's another one for you Gator: Are Cap 1 and AS8 essentially just the "movie hype books" of the GA, but on steroids ? -J.
  5. Congrats! this book is pretty sweet to own in any grade ....and in any holder. Just have to crop the top of the slab off in the pic if/when you decide to post it here to the club. (thumbs u -J.
  6. Agreed. With at least 5 movie appearances coming up the book has a lot of upside to it. -J.
  7. Very nice copies congratulations! Welcome to the club. -J.
  8. That's actually below two recent comic link sales of $16.5k. Heritage seems to be the worst place to auction TMNT 1's of late. -J.
  9. The 6.0. . That's about on par with what an AF 15, 5.0 would bring. The 5.5 AF 15 with the gnarly dog ear went for about $20.3k. -J. Damn you're right. I guess i was reminiscing the days when a 7.5 could be had at that price Ah yes, way back in early 2013. I remember like it was yesterday. -J.
  10. The 6.0. . That's about on par with what an AF 15, 5.0 would bring. The 5.5 AF 15 with the gnarly dog ear went for about $20.3k. -J.
  11. Almost par for what an AF15 in grade goes for Not too sure about that. That 6.0 AF 15 in the CC auction could flirt with $30k. -J. 2014 (1) $25,000Hi 2013 (1) $17,925Hi 2012 (6) $22,108Hi $17,533Lo Not many sales to to compare but falls right in line with those points... Where it stands now it really is closer to being somewhere in the middle of more recent 5.0 and 5.5 AF 15 sales results. Still not bad though. (thumbs u -J.
  12. Almost par for what an AF15 in grade goes for Not too sure about that. That 6.0 AF 15 in the CC auction could flirt with $30k. -J.
  13. I seeeeeee you ! Awesome book! Congrats on the upgrade. (thumbs u -J.
  14. Okay now you're just showing off. -J. J your funny ! This is the only place where I can show my books. My family and friends think its a kids thing . I don't even talk about comics with them anymore. I decided 4 years ago To upgrade some key books, I always had a lot of them but wanted better condition books. Thank god for Joey D 's hand-me downs ! Sounds like SOMEBODY needs to sit down your friends and family and explain to them the meaning of "big boy toys". -J.
  15. Jay, I like that someone goes after shilled books. However, it would look good if you sometimes also went after some of the best books you yourself own. Don't you think so? Possibly? But there is only so much time in the day. -J.
  16. It's gonna break me.Now I'm discusted with my 7.5 drek book,I must own a 9.4 or better. Why play the upgrade game ? The book you already have is great. Use that money to get something else to add to that sig line. (thumbs u -J.
  17. Big time congrats! +1 might need to change your board name to Jaydogandhiscomicbooksrule (thumbs u Thanks guys! It's always nice to get a little boardie love for what has always been my favorite book. Especially from those with such awesome books as well. Gino, as if my current username isn't already long enough. -J.
  18. Thank you Harvey! Always a pleasure to be a part of one of "Harvey Swick's Productions". -J.
  19. If that was a CGC 10 with no signatures that would possibly be up to a $10k book. -J. ...and for the same price as the last 2 CGC 9.8's: (thumbs u http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=972&item=261657702996&rt=nc&print=all&si=Eu3Gin6kYLscJ6Y2R8Hokc34kDU%3D Demand for this book seems relentless. This may be "The" modern book to own right now, as evidently even a copy in a PGX slab with un-witnessed signatures did not slow it down. -J.
  20. So many great looking 9.0's posted today. Might as well throw mine into the ring and be the first in the new, new thread. I wanted a copy with deep colours on the cover. I think I nailed it. Shout out to HarveySwick for keeping all of the club threads updated. Thanks Harvey! (thumbs u -J.
  21. Interesting (and awful). I'm not saying your wrong, but all 7 of the most recent MP4 that I listed have had different serial numbers. Surely not all of those are shilled. Usually when I see 1 outrageous price on GPA I think "shiller", but for there to be 7 in a row..... I need to pay more attention to CL CC & Pedigree There was a TON of shill bidding early on with both of those books, as well as GPA spiking. I would not buy either of those books from an eBay auction. Whenever they aren't on ebay they go for significantly less. And even then they go for more than they otherwise would because people are looking at all those shilled ebay results on GPA and believing they are getting a "good deal". There's actually an entire thread on this in the magazine section. (thumbs u -J.
  22. GPA is littered with shilled ebay auctions when it comes to this book and MP7. The last two non shilled sales were on pedigree for 2300 and comic link for 2500. Neither of which report to GPA. -J.
  23. MP 4 9.8 "value" is probably closer to $2500, and falling. -J.
