  1. I've seen and heard mistakes running both ways, meaning dealers also DO NOT at times receive books that they qualified for/ordered. And yes, Diamond occasionally liquidates remaindered case packs of un-ordered inventory- almost all of it drek. -J.
  2. You know I just realized that you're pretty terrible at this. Good talk. -J.
  3. Right around 2016-2017 averages actually. Keep trying. -J.
  4. Yeah, what must I be thinking? http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=132481759071&item_hash4=4ef71cb7&LH_Complete=1&LH_BIN=1&_pgn=1&rc=nt&_trksid=p3750801.m370.h1613&rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-53200-19255-0%2F1%3Fff3%3D4%26campid%3D5335849815%26toolid%3D10034%26customid%3DeBay-US_go-url_-76d1aaf11675--www.watchcount.com-ilu.ihist.132481759071.-_wcc%26mpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Foffer.ebay.co.uk%252Fws%252FeBayISAPI.dll%253FViewBidsLogin%2526item%253D132481759071%2526item_hash4%253D4ef71cb7%2526LH_Complete%253D1%2526LH_BIN%253D1%2526_pgn%253D1%2526rc%253Dnt%2526_trksid%253Dp3750801.m370.h1613%26srcrot%3D711-53200-19255-0%26rvr_id%3D1433696828936 -J.
  5. The spawn 222 kudrasky actually looks to be selling for around $1275 now so it won't be making the list this time. http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&item=152866450832&item_hash4=5b1d91bc&LH_Complete=1&LH_BIN=1&_pgn=1&rc=nt&_trksid=p3750801.m370.h1613&rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-53200-19255-0%2F1%3Fff3%3D4%26campid%3D5335849815%26toolid%3D10034%26customid%3DeBay-US_go-url_-76d1aaf11675--www.watchcount.com-ilu.ihist.152866450832.-_wcc%26mpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Foffer.ebay.co.uk%252Fws%252FeBayISAPI.dll%253FViewBidsLogin%2526item%253D152866450832%2526item_hash4%253D5b1d91bc%2526LH_Complete%253D1%2526LH_BIN%253D1%2526_pgn%253D1%2526rc%253Dnt%2526_trksid%253Dp3750801.m370.h1613%26srcrot%3D711-53200-19255-0%26rvr_id%3D1433173684030 -J.
  6. Thanks for the notices on these recent sales guys. I have been following most of them. Rick and Morty 1- not three years old and too much documented market manipulation to determine a bona fide FMV. Will continue to monitor sales. Tsum Tsum - Not three years old, only one sale, not enough data. Spawn 222- Last sale is probably too low to keep it off the list (since it was evidently part of a lot). Will update list soon. Keep the suggestions coming! -J.
  7. I wish I could help you man, but I have never seen those Dell'otto cards before. And here I thought I was a super fan. -J.
  8. So let's talk about some real numbers then: 32- Copies on census after 6 1/2 years (a small fraction of multiple other rare variants/reprints from the era, including WD 100 red foil (250 announced print run), Saga 1 DRS third printing (rumoured 500 print run) , Siege 3, Campbell (rumoured print run 400), Batman 608RRP (rumoured print run 400). 9- Slabs of any grade sold publicly in 6 1/2 years. 3- Raw copies sold publicly in 3 1/2 years. 1- 9.8 copies sold publicly in five years 0- Copies on eBay now. You should probably move on too, Don Quixote. -J.
  9. I never claimed that anywhere. Like most people I didn't even know the book existed until well after the fact. -J.
  10. It's precisely what it means: https://www.diamondcomics.com/Home/1/1/3/819?articleID=110712 Your question was answered (and I didn't "maul" you when I did ). Though when you originally asked it you didn't say anything about your LCS ordering 50 copies of the regular cover. You originally simply said that your LCS did not usually order 100 copies of ASM. That being the case, barring a mistake by Diamond (possible, but not likely) they did not receive the 1:100 as an incentive. Period. I also told you how a small LCS on a remote Canadian island received the copy of the 1:100 (through a secondary source) that I ultimately was able to acquire- A more likely scenario for your LCS as well. You said you sold your copy a long time ago and have no regrets. If that really is the case, it sounds like it's probably best to move on at this point. -J.
  11. Marvel doesn't have Namor movie rights and that character, post Golden Age has mostly fluctuated between lame/irrelevant and obnoxious a-hole. Avengers 4, and it's not even close. -J.
  12. Batman > Captain America Tec 27 > Captain America Comics 1 But Captain America Comics 1 > Batman 1 Cap 1 by one winged cowl. (what, I'm not biased ) -J.
  13. Awesome book! I wouldn't even know how to begin to figure that out. No less than 2000 though. -J.
  14. Such a nice cover. Shades of the 667. Sweet pick up! -J.
  15. If I'm not mistaken that is the same Cap 3.5 Reece had on his site for a little while mid last year.... -J.
  16. Based on these numbers the Amazing Spider-Man 667 would still be the rarest. -J.
  17. That really is nice it's a great score. Unfortunately I don't have any data on it either. -J.
  18. That Spidey night image print is sweet as pie. I would love to own one of those or even the OA if it wasn't an arm and a leg (and I actually knew who owned it ). -J.
  19. Hi IA! I can and will say that Polirer is definitely not a shill. I think if he was he would have done exactly what you say- blow up my PM box with info about purchasing their variants. Posting advance teases of images is fine, even posting when they are made available is fine. The same thing is done in the JSC thread, are we going to accuse people who do that there of shilling for JSC? Polirer "could" start a group PM for the more vocal people whom he knows are interested but how would that help the lurkers or the casual visitors to the boards who might have also otherwise been interested? Yes this is an artist appreciation thread and not a sales thread, but I don't think our friend Polirer has come anywhere near that line. I hope we can get back to talking about books again (of which upcoming releases are surely fair game). -J.
  20. Books being rare based on whether or not they are hand signed/numbered or have production defects (double cover?) is a different conversation. That wolverine 35 Abo I saw the OA for that on eBay quite a while ago for $2k. I kind of regret not buying it then for that I just really wanted a Spider-Man piece by him at the time. Oh well. But I do see a half a dozen copies of that Abo version on eBay now (closed listings). That book is not rarer than ASM 667. The Batman covers and X men 49 you mention I'm not familiar with. Can you post or link to an image of those ? Polirer is right though, the Panini variants are usually in the 2000 range, the lowest I've seen was 500 for that Michael Turner supergirl book with the recycled image of her standing there naked, her cape the only thing covering her up. -J.
