  1. ....with a lot of garbage variants nobody wanted in the first place. If they are sought after people would have bought most by now. There might by 3-5 of a hot variant that they did not previously have accounted for.
  2. Somebody didn't have trouble finding these: Bloodshot #51 Maybe those were the result of years of hunting? Anyway, there are 6 raw copies on ebay right now, it's not like it doesn't exist. Yup, probably all of the books in this thread can be found on eBay.

  4. Right, I thought Black Flash wasn't even going to be on the show as it was actually Savitar. As someone else on here said, Black Flash was a Red Herring.
  5. Are you referring to the GOTG links posted? They are all the #1 comic book. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9742304#Post9742304
  6. Or the buyer didn't pay. No way to tell really.
  7. Yea, break even on the 1:200, then you're left with a stack of $0.25 gravy. Good luck selling those for a profit! ha Technically, if they're already breaking even just by selling the 1:200 variants, then every sale of the regular issue at $0.25 is just additional profit assuming they can sell those locally and not ebay. Right, but where are you going to sell those? You are going to sell $0.25 comics on eBay and package them all? You would need to have a pretty big shop to not end up with 10 longboxes of those hanging around.
  8. Since the preorder cutoff isn't until tomorrow couldn't the seller just adjust their orders to cover the amount of sales on eBay? That's exactly what they are doing.
  9. He is already in the black and everything other than the 1:200 issues are gravy. This is going to be huge. I really hope the book lives up to the hype/sales. How cool would that be ? Yea, break even on the 1:200, then you're left with a stack of $0.25 gravy. Good luck selling those for a profit! ha If he bought 4800, he has those 9 1:500 too. But still, it is so hard to destroy a comic and thats a LOT of long boxes. Better reinforce the floors. Oh, they sold 24 27 already, gotcha. But they are only even on the 1:200's. Still have the cost of an additional 300 to get the 1:500's. They have sold 8 of the 1:500 at $90. For the additional 300 copies they have to order over the 1:200 sets they are selling, they are making roughly $52 if you assume the are getting the books at 50% off cover.

  11. I didn't. If I would have known about it beforehand, I would have. -J. Back up http://www.ebay.com/itm/351952687118?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  12. Red Sonja #0 that had a $0.25 cover price and the J. Scott Campbell 1:100 variant reportedly bumped orders up to 110,000. Red Sonja #1 that was released in Jan. 2016 had distribution of about 22,000. So, more or less the variant cover by JSC and low price combination bumped orders 5x. TWD is around the 90,000 +/- mark right now. It will be interesting to see if the bigger market for TWD, higher ratio variants and $0.25 cover push it to 500k.
  13. read 88 of 100 Your reward is in the mail. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery Is the reward the other 12 issues?
  14. How did you even find that? It doesn't list the issue numbers in the title. Random searches I've saved. Man, that is a tough book to narrow down since all of the characters have their own series (and subsequent reboots). Seems to still be selling pretty good though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-1-2008-Marvel-VF-NM-Vol-2-GOTG-Star-Lord-Groot-Movie-/252672846523?hash=item3ad479aabb%3Ag%3AfO0AAOSwPCVX-ZK2&nma=true&si=i62O3rmXkLVsaxmf2wkQa9aRqRg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-1-First-Issue-NEAR-MINT-SUPER-HOT-Comic-Book-Starlord-/302183213481?hash=item465b85e9a9%3Ag%3AUQgAAOSwnHZYaFv4&nma=true&si=i62O3rmXkLVsaxmf2wkQa9aRqRg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-1-Jul-2008-Marvel-MOVIE-NEW-TEAM-BEGINS-SHARP-/122290010695?hash=item1c790d7a47%3Ag%3AvsUAAOSwT%7E9WiGnf&nma=true&si=i62O3rmXkLVsaxmf2wkQa9aRqRg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Yeah, thats why I was disappointed I missed it. Didn't know what other category to put it in. Maybe we need a " man, that was a good deal thread. 17. couldn't sell a VF/NM #17 here for $30 w/ a #18 thrown in for free People aren't really paying that much: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Bronze-Age-1970-83/12590/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_from=R40&LH_Sold=1&rmvSB=true&_sop=13&_nkw=defenders+17+-complete+-guides+-masterworks+-16+-lot+-foom+-art
  18. How did you even find that? It doesn't list the issue numbers in the title.
  19. Not much margin at $30. Actually wondering if there is any, even if you're getting them at half off cover price.
  20. This post gets two thumbs up. I remember Wizard, long ago, having a 'best 100 covers' article. I took note of, and looked looked for a few of them. Given your username I would have thought you would have set your standards higher.
  21. Lemmings Sometimes, a cover will pop in people's eyes when they see other people appreciating it. That's not necessarily being a lemming. I've had the crowd go for covers I still didn't care for, and I've seen covers through new eyes when I've heard other people appreciate it. I agree 100%. Others on here have disagreed on this point. But, you are missing the point of the article in question and associated sales. http://comicbookinvest.com/2017/01/05/batman-robin-adventures-21/
  22. It is personal. Telling me I'm FOS? Yep. Personal. Now, critiquing my books, my work, the art? I don't take that personally. I learned the first time a book I worked months on got crushed in a review. It stung my ego. Sure. But - attack me as a person, especially with ZERO knowledge of what you're accusing me of or the circumstance and stakes involved? Personal. And I don't go for the "it's just the internet". That excuses their behavior. I do go in for human decency, decorum, debate and discussion. Please highlight below where: 1. I said you were FOS 2. Where I attacked you as a person 3. Where I accused you of anything The artwork in the comic and the timetable that it's get's produced in is pretty amazing. I think it's safe to assume most people on here and other sites are reading comics. There are a ton out there right now. But, let's look at one thing, you are posting on the CGC forum (an arm of a company dedicated to providing a service almost solely for the valuation of comics / collectibles) and another forum that is literally titled speculation and investing. Has there been news since this? June 18, 2015 Adrian Askarieh: Yes. I’m producing it with New Regency and Fox Television Studios. We’re in the process of announcing a showrunner and directors for our pilot. The goal is to not make it a miniseries, but make it a 13-episode event series. And if it’s a hit, we’ll do one every year. That’s the plan for Enormous. And it’s moving forward very fast. And everyone seems to be very excited about it. http://screenrant.com/deus-ex-jonny-quest-hitman-agent-47-adrian-askarieh/3/ P.S., some of those people were big advocates of the comic from the beginning. I personally supported you when you were on here asking for money. P.P.S., It's the internet. There will always be people posing discouraging remarks. Don't take it personal.
  23. Sooo.....I could easily be missing it, but since I found it the first time I know where to look. It looks like any reference to the raffle that was being promoted on here, which a posted claimed never happened, has been scrubbed from this thread. There is however another thread that still has the information and commenting. Why would this be scrubbed?
