  1. "currently stable" but nothing to preclude them from tracking the same way. It's simple supply and demand. The supply on many of these variants was always small, they experienced a hueg upswing in demand which makes prices soar, but if the demand fades, they will return to previous values, relative to past demand. So the same with every book collectible in existence. Got it.
  2. This is where series and subject matter, not just the artist. An artist may be hot at the moment which drives prices up short term but I don't think it takes a genius to figure that Spider-Man likely has a much bigger and more stable market than the Winter Soldier. Yes, definitely a factor. I guess all the JSC that are fairly stable are ASM or Spider related. Maybe you can throw the X-Men Psylocke out there. Any others I'm missing?
  3. Once again, first / early to market once the hype built and there were none or few to be found. It's very rare that a book will stay at the high levels initially realized. There are buyers, some on these boards, that will buy high and have admittedly taken a bath. There are outliers however. Take the La Mole JSC ASM 18 for example. In September, before the actual release, it was selling for $50-75. It has jumped up considerably since then and has stayed pretty level for a few weeks. Books like Winter Soldier do belong in this thread. Understanding why they are cooling is just as important as recognizing that they are. Are JSC books the only ones really seeing a stable market or even uptick right now?
  4. Thor 337? Batman Odyssey #1 too. Neal Adams goodness.
  5. So should I sell now or hold? Also, what are tomorrow's lottery numbers?
  6. I wish there was someway to tell. Like you could search somewhere Hughes slabbed sale prices.
  7. There's only 2 on the bay right now and they are asking 3x+ what it was selling for two weeks ago. I guess you could wait 3-4 months when people start getting back their new submissions and the market gets flooded.
  8. Yes, horrible listing. I read the title and thought those were simply words to grab searches. Needed to have a photo with all three books as the main photo.
  9. I would.. Just didnt have enough money that day You missed the one after that sold for $250.
  10. , it is a great book. I've been looking for two+ years and the only place I found one was a website without a picture. It was the color variant at that.
  11. I think that was a good sale. Wouldn't want to be on the purchasing end.
  12. Is Carnage is 359? 360 I know he has a page of panels.
  13. Good list. I'm always surprised by the price difference in Flash #197 and Flash Secret Files and Origins #3 which is his 1st appearance and usually goes for around $25 or so. Do you think #197 is bigger because Zoom is on the cover ? I would say so. As fastball mentioned with Carnage, ASM 344 isn't moving like 361. 344 being the first appearance of the person to later become something else. Flash 197 and ASM 361 both have the villain front and center on the cover.
  14. We need more robust search. All the other forums I frequent have a search option within threads. You can search within threads? Not on here. Some other forums you can. #185 is on the list. Here is the last ranking: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9303163&fpart=37
  15. Yea, but if you put that aside it's only chests and feet that he has trouble with.
  16. Even if I had an agenda, I would be really tired of it by now.
  17. I love Mint Tulips, especially at the Kentucky Derby. They can be found on the infield. You have to get down real close to find them though.
  18. Investment is Black Cat in high grade. Black cover vs. white cover. 9.8's - 264 vs. 1,045
