  1. It is personal. Telling me I'm FOS? Yep. Personal. Now, critiquing my books, my work, the art? I don't take that personally. I learned the first time a book I worked months on got crushed in a review. It stung my ego. Sure. But - attack me as a person, especially with ZERO knowledge of what you're accusing me of or the circumstance and stakes involved? Personal. And I don't go for the "it's just the internet". That excuses their behavior. I do go in for human decency, decorum, debate and discussion. Please highlight below where: 1. I said you were FOS 2. Where I attacked you as a person 3. Where I accused you of anything The artwork in the comic and the timetable that it's get's produced in is pretty amazing. I think it's safe to assume most people on here and other sites are reading comics. There are a ton out there right now. But, let's look at one thing, you are posting on the CGC forum (an arm of a company dedicated to providing a service almost solely for the valuation of comics / collectibles) and another forum that is literally titled speculation and investing. Has there been news since this? June 18, 2015 Adrian Askarieh: Yes. I’m producing it with New Regency and Fox Television Studios. We’re in the process of announcing a showrunner and directors for our pilot. The goal is to not make it a miniseries, but make it a 13-episode event series. And if it’s a hit, we’ll do one every year. That’s the plan for Enormous. And it’s moving forward very fast. And everyone seems to be very excited about it. http://screenrant.com/deus-ex-jonny-quest-hitman-agent-47-adrian-askarieh/3/ P.S., some of those people were big advocates of the comic from the beginning. I personally supported you when you were on here asking for money. P.P.S., It's the internet. There will always be people posing discouraging remarks. Don't take it personal.
  2. Sooo.....I could easily be missing it, but since I found it the first time I know where to look. It looks like any reference to the raffle that was being promoted on here, which a posted claimed never happened, has been scrubbed from this thread. There is however another thread that still has the information and commenting. Why would this be scrubbed?
  3. 1. Why did they make 48 issues of Alf. Was that not a sign of the bubble burst? We can't even get 48 issues of Spider Man anymore. 2. Why are you going to four states looking for an Alf comic? There may be a support group for that.
  4. Did Wolverine jump ship to DC? I think this is a decent book. The thing that has never been proven is a TV character, in the current era, coming into the comic. Their are reinventions, like Felicity Smoak, but Merlin is basically a new character. So, in that panel is he announcing himself angrily in full name and moniker? Seems weird.
  5. Didn't you liquidate your entire ASM run ? -J. I sold all of my variants but a couple and lost all of my SA to a flood. Oh damn. I'm sorry to hear that man. -J. Dang
  6. Also, please keep posting on here. I do not speak for anyone but myself and there are plenty of people on here and elsewhere that want you to keep moving. As do I. I wish no ill will on you, what you have done or what you are doing.

  8. Doesn't you concern also have to do with it being a Modern Variant? From the perspective of someone sitting on fat stacks, the 'modern variant concerns' look a lot smaller, or so I've heard. I personally would think long and hard about buying a modern variant for $90 (check my paypal account, see when my next paycheck is coming, see if I plan to sell any other comics soon, etc). Yes, so an equivalent buy might be more in the $10-20 range, where you know you can cover it.

  10. To be fair, people who can $9K comics are usually in a situation where they can financially meet the basic needs of life pretty comfortably, especially in America, where making $300K gets you pretty much the same life as making $2M per year (other than the size of your very nice house), of course excluding NYC and SF where studio apt's might cost you a mil. This is true. It is hard for me to conceive of spending 9k on one comic book (especially one that doesn't have a long track record) but if someone is making 3-4 times what I do then I guess it's not a big deal. Doesn't you concern also have to do with it being a Modern Variant?
  11. The buyer might already have those books and they come up for sale all the time.
  12. Cool, thanks for adding to the list! How many pages does that go back?

  14. Because he/they would have to do that with every book. They are not good at keeping up on trends and the internet means the minute something is announced there is someone on their website buying it before the inflation. It's easier to keep the flippers from buying 5 hot books and limit it to two and say you're out of stock if the rest. Then you "get a new buyout" and you have more at the new inflated market price. I don't think they are holding drek on purpose. It's just that nobody wants the drek until they are on tv or whatever the kids like these days. Cool, thanks for contributing to the list. That's not how Mile High does things. If you don't believe me, there are plenty of threads on here complaining about things like quantities being restricted after the order went through and prices jumping substantially when the buyer looked again. Oh, you mean like exactly what I said. (echoo......) No, they do not claim to be out of stock, they just don't fill the full order. If they have it (disregarding the huge volume of unprocessed purchases they always have), it's on the site. You can't even attempt to purchase 5 copies of something if they only have 2 of them. You most certainly can. They adjust your order after they check their inventory. You clearly don't know what you are talking about. I bet I can't order ten copies of one book either, since their drop down only goes up to 5?

  17. Please do some research and learn what the various publicly available numbers mean. If you don't understand them, don't criticize those who do. (The original Marvel) Star Wars, for example, was a slowly dying title that saw its print run drop by ~40% and sales drop by ~50% in the last 7-ish years. Sales dropped fairly consistently by around 10% per year, except in 1983-84 when sales briefly stabilized (not bumped from RotJ)... only to see a 20% drop the year after. There were still almost certainly over 100,000 copies sold, and roughly twice as many printed, of issue 107. It's not remotely rare, although it certainly appears scarce compared to the early issues. Cool, thanks for contributing to the list. Why would I bother mentioning any comics? So you can disparage my contribution? Don't start. I'm not interested in this garbage. Cool, thanks for contributing to the list
  18. If we are going to make a list I would suggest it exclude ratio / incentive variants, price variants and newsstand variants. TPB's acceptable.

  20. War of the Undead 1-3. Not impossible to find, but I usually only find them in dollar bins. ( currently looking for #3 for a set)
  21. Well this is CGC's forum, if not here then where? Personally I love when odd things like this come up, just makes the hobby more interesting. Right. Just meant most other news outlets don't care about all that minutiae. It's first time Harry Potter is making an official appearance on a comic book ergo first appearance/comic debut. It's only here where you get heated debates about whether it should be labeled a cameo, 1st app, etc. Mind, labeling it a pin-up is probably the fairest and most accurate. Granted, I reckon majority of HP fans probably aren't even aware that you can slab comic books. The key word here is OFFICIAL appearance. Harry has other comic appearances. I see nothing in any definition of debut or first appearance that states the author of a book character adapted into comic form needs to be authorized. Go with Mystic 15. I could be wrong here, but I don't think he has ever been named. Not now, not before.
