  1. Other pre-date. Check back at the beginning of the thread.
  2. Hmm, it shows my second order I placed, but not the first. But I do have email confirmation from PayPal that I placed two orders.
  3. You have this sorted by "completed" listings, not ones that actually sold. Seems to be selling for low $50's to mid $60's. If the book cost $20, as was stated in here + cost of shipping, grading and fees, you are losing money. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=1&_from=R40|R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=spider-gwen+1+phantom+cgc&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc the laughing smiley face in Lonzilla's post indicates the he was making a joke and pointing out that those Spider-Gwen variants are tanking...

  5. /\/\/\ What's most interesting to me about that is that I would love to own a Gobbledygook, but don't really care about any of the others. Don't get me wrong, I own (and am selling) Marvel Age 97, because I found it cheap. I would definitely by a DC Spotlight if I found one for $5 too, but I wouldn't spend $100 on that type of book.
  6. Niche market book. This book has been semi-hot for years. Its a cool book. Typically brings $15-30 in decent shape, and there are always random buy it nows in the $50-100 range ( as collectors in this new era tend not to shop around like they should ) The problem I have always had with books like this, or any preview, is this question: It is really the first depiction of said character? I have found more often than not, that the first preview/ad whatever, is many times found to be wrong later on, there is something earlier. These previews and ads are MUCH harder to research than regular comic issues. I wouldn't pay near $100 for a book like this. I'm not the only one, that's why I said it's a niche book.
  7. Yes, the large boxes is the original order that was sent to him. Notice they had not been opened yet. They still have to repackage all of them for the orders.
  8. Hey BJ, I take it, you don't think it's a 9.8? luv, d We talked about this before and I'm befuddled as to why I'm backing this, but I think it's more my passion against everyone "tombing" their books. You can get $85 raw. Last 9.8 sold for $125 + $13 shipping. It costs roughly $13 to ship, so scratch that and just look at the $125. What's it cost to ship it there, pay for grading and ship back? Add on top of that the time for grading where you are not selling it and the difference in fees between the two sales prices.
  9. Congratulations on the sale, but holy carp, that is an insane outlier. Thanks! It's also an insanely high grade copy. Did Divad just admit that it was an outlier?
  10. I could be wrong, but I don't think they will be that quick to make a judgement.
  11. Wouldn't that be because this comic hasn't been released yet and nobody has a copy in hand? doesn't stop people from pre-selling them....just curious that there weren't more trying to cash in as fast as possible. I've thought about it seeing the prices go up. Some have scruples?
  12. For that exact reason. Maybe he didn't know it was movie cover swipe month.
  13. But she did join X-Men in #213, at least according to the wikia.
  14. /\/\/\ Probably the difference between the 1st and 2nd shipments. I think the rumor is a bunch got damaged so they printed more.
  15. Pretty sure it's a 1:1. Not a retailer though, so that's just what I was told. I think the action figs are incentive based on how many of another title you had previously purchased.
  16. Pre order deadline is passed as far as I know. IT was solicited a while back, but was delayed if i'm not mistaken. The Spread covers have far and away been the best in terms of realism. The Marvel ones, while cool, are just not up to par.
  17. Again, maybe I'm missing something big about Convergence, but the Cap was in Multiversity recently. I do not hear anyone talking about Multiversity which is sad. PaxAmericana got really good reviews from everyone that I heard from. But that's a topic for a different thread.
