  1. Don't forget about Ralph Snart! I loved RS! Don't have any handy but I have him on "Now What" Now's news mag. I have quite a few of these too as I used to subscribe to Now Comics. I wonder if there is a market for these things?
  2. Agreed. Dark Horse is doing a fantastic job with Conan right now which seems to be pleasing new fans as well as keeping the old timer fans of R.E. Howard and the Thomas/Smith run satisfied. And hats off to IDW Publishing for really pushing some decent horror titles on the market recently! Just bought Horrorcide!
  3. All I can say is that guy is a lousy shot! Well they were closing in on the end of the run on that title anyway, 6 more issues to go so they started using filler art and stories.
  4. This cover just freaks me out! You can almost feel the pain in that voodoo doll. Brrr!
  5. I have been neglecting this thread for too long! I've been partying it up over in the Infinite Copper Horror thread (sacrilegious!) Some supplies came in from B.Cole and while I was rebagging I came across these beauties! I had forgotton how disturbing these covers are (to me at least!) On this cover that torn piece of the victims dress on the axe is a chilling touch to imply such a brutal act!
  6. Some Copper Horror liked to pay homage to the pre-codes such as this issue.
  7. This issue sports a Neal Adams story written by Harlan Ellison. Looks VERY similar to a Dave Mckean (spelling?) Sandman cover!
  8. Can't argue there, Hellblazer was/is a very well written title! Does anyone remember the four issue mini-series "The Books of Magic"? It was prestige format (I believe) introducing Tim Hunter to the DC universe and was also a very good read.
  9. I simply LOVED NOW Comics! Speed Racer, Racer X, Green Hornet, The Terminator, Astro Boy...but I digress, heres one that fits the catagory!
  10. Welcome to hard core Copper Horror Keith! I started buying these books when they came out to try and recapture what I was missing from the Bronze age. Unfortunatly few of them equal with exception of the PC line. But a lot of these 80's and early 90's Copper horror titles that shook off the restraints of the CCA came bursting forth in delightful graphic gore! It was like Comics horror came of age (again)! I happen to love Copper Horror as it seemed to have complete freedom (writing and art) to tell a good scary story. Although none of these titles really grabbed a footfold IMO for a long run series unless you count Sandman, Swamp Thing (2nd series) or Hellblazer. Any titles I've overlooked? What's everyones opinion on Copper Horror anyway? Keeping the torch from the BA? Fantastic, I love it? Ho-hum? Plain junk?
  11. Ghosts # 65 was the last holdout for my run also. I think it took about two years for me to locate a HG copy, # 67 was also a bear for me.
  12. This novel turned out to be a pretty cool movie starring Aaliyah. Unfortunate she is no longer with us.
  13. Innovation hooked up with Anne Rice in the early 90's and did quite well for a time. I remember this puppy was hard to come by shortly after its release. Plus has a eerie John Bolton cover to boot.
  14. These were always disturbing movies! (I have a thing about dolls that come to life!) Brrrr.
  15. Can't go wrong with a Corben cover! Interesting that this title started out as an underground comic.
  16. It's my only copy or I'd gladly share. If you're interested Chuck's got this issue on sale for a buck thirty-five! That's also what's so great about Copper horror...it's CHEAP!
  17. One last one for tonight...there's just so many! But who could forget good 'ol Evil Ernie? Even though Lady Death turned out to be the star of the show, Ernie and that Smiley button kicked some butt!
  18. Yeah, I recognized it as I have only two Stanley Mags. It's Shock # 4 either Vol. 2 or 3 I believe.
