  1. All comics are considered "keys" unless told otherwise.
  2. Man, that kicks off starlin's Warlock Masterpiece. Sad to see that the recognition is coming from magus speculation. Reminds me of this dealer wannabe at a local con trying to peddle me an overpriced VG copy of ST178 and his sales pitch was "magus might show up in the next guardians movie".
  3. I don't remember him being key to any of the storylines I cared about while reading Civil War, although I do remember that's when he became Penance, An incident involving the New Warriors is what got the ball rolling on registration. Considering they haven't shown up in the cinematic universe, it will almost certainly be something else (perhaps the whole Ultron fiasco will serve that purpose). Yea, don't bother trying to equate the comic story to the movie. It's already stretched very thin in terms of any resemblance to any characters. There's Cap and Iron Man and that's about all that's similar. There's always someone who needs to unload dreks.
  4. But will the average audience buy into a Red Hulk? I mean, there are plenty of comic enthusiasts (myself included) who think the idea of multi-colored Hulks is ... well, dumb. Does Marvel want to take their chances that the general public finds the idea silly as well? I'm not seeing it. They should do a Hulk in every color. Green Hulk hulks up when he's angry, Pink Hulk when he's in love, Yellow Hulk when he's afraid, Purple Hulk when he's puzzled, Blue Hulk when he's sad, etc.… There's already a blue Hulk! Really? Red Hulk was dumb enough but a blue Hulk?!? It's the same concept as power rings in the Dc universe. All the colors which make up the Rainbow Hulk Brigade! That's your diversity right there
  5. Yeah, it's like Doc;'s heading out to fight crime, and he thinks... "Hmmm, maybe I should take my Battle Axe with me?" And if Doc has an axe, then naturally Cap needs to get a sword and wrap a pile of cloth strips around his arms and feet, right? Can't go out without those thin strips of cloth. This is bad, like New Universe-level bad. This is something that Rob Liefeld would have done in '91.
  6. What.....the........fornicate am I looking at here? A pile of fkn . Why does Iron Man have camel feet?
  7. , was grey hulk suppose to show up in the last avengers flick?
  8. Purchased some hot books from Ed very good prices and accurate grading. Straight up good guy with great books! Thanks very much Ed!
  9. That's not the 3rd print. That's the B&W variant that came out on day 1.
  10. That has nothing to do with the book. I asked G. Willow Wilson to write her favorite quote on the cover along with her signature. In my mind I was asking her to write her favorite quote/ dialogue from the book but she end up writing her personal favorite quote. It was kinda of a cool fail if you ask me.
  11. Here are my copies. Bought these when they first came out - The ANMN Reg Cvr so as Ms. Marvel 1 are my keeper. I got them all signed ECCC 2014 - I know I'll be crucified for getting books signed without CGC Witness. I don't care, they're mine!
  12. Meet 13.2 then you should be okay. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/popup/UAeBay-outside
  13. Cool... Too bad my copy is not a raw 9.8 Btw, is that your book too?
  14. Kamala Khan, captain America, Thor, spider-man etc. are all popular but not overrated.
  15. This reminds me of the x-23 in test tube debacle on wolverine 80.
  16. Overrated: deadpool, Harley Quinn, Spider Gwen, Silk, rocket raccoon Underrated: Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell; Marvel dropped the ball on this character), Silver Surfer, eternity, eternals, gambit and rouge, hawkeye, Sif, Enchantress, Submariner
  17. Hey, I thought we're buddies?! I want one too! Hook me up and you'll never hear from me ill send you one but i still want to hear from you this kinda BS gets the post counts up ! Pm your address I was just joking. However, If you're sincere with your offer, I challenge you to sell that copy and donate all proceeds to the local children's hospital in my area....
  18. Hey, I thought we're buddies?! I want one too! Hook me up and you'll never hear from me
  19. 1st full appearance, nice and clean and neat.....that label for CM 17 2nd seemed like it was desperately trying to justify it's existence. Someone said a few pages back that this is equivalent to a RRP. Paul, buddy, maybe you need to get CGC to add "Low print run as per CGC message board member Paul747"
  20. The nitpicky label is there to justify my buddy Paul's asking price when he decides to sell his copies
  21. How's the head? Haters gonna hate. FYI... you are on a slabbed books chat board. It was better until I read the above post. All I'm saying is CM 17 2nd is a perfect book for slabbing - nice cover but not much to see inside. Apparently, it is all about the covers nowadays! If I'm collecting to read and see Kamala Khan's 1st App and origin, I'd go with ANMN and MM1. So there's that. That's not hating that's just how I see it. Thanks for clarifying that this is a "slabbed books chat board".
  22. Awesome... Can we get those Malibu Sun, Rust, et al. to show pre-dates Spawn 1 (if they're not already described as such)? Isn't that a common description for a preview-type book? Regardless, it has a nice cover. For folks who like their comics slabbed, it is the perfect book.
  23. Lesson learned: you can judge a book by its cover. Nobody reads comics anymore. They're collected like stamps
