  4. see it now.... so - the owner said about 600 non dc/marvel but I think they underestimated - I have 2 full long boxes and another shortbox. (no bag and board) 80% archies the rest a mix of Charlton, gold key and cartoon books. The marvel/dc- not a lot of consistency in the titles- but some decent random stuff. A good lot for show selling.
  5. so - around 500 mixed silver and bronze - condition between g and fn/vf -average around VG Lots of random books - but well worthwhile. any Chicago area boardies - the seller had a lot of adult mags as well - I have no idea of how to value - 60s playboy and such - pm and I can get you in touch
  6. last one for now - lots of ok books - no real keys ( but a lot of teasing, )
  7. a couple more decent ones (fighting photo-bucket right now to get rotation right
  8. nothing huge so far - mostly silver bronze randoms a few moderns here and there this is an OO collection - bought mostly on volume probably 500 or so marvel/dc - another 400 arches and 200 mics- was priced to move so I will more than break even. probably a 3rd of the way through - a couple nice books
  9. the same wording is popping up in many auctions -- "want to sell it for 2500 - email me at this address" for books worth WAY more than 2500 scams all around.............
  10. wasn't the ASM 300 double or triple signed? -- check the WTB forum - someone is looking for one
  11. Actually now that I think of it, he probably ended up selling the collection privately and thats why he probably got all these negs for not shipping plus - he probably realized he was getting killed on those low hammer prices $1 auction plus $4 to ship? - guess if he just threw in an envelope and sent media mail he might get by - 1st class mail for 1-2 books runs in the 3.50 range for me now..... and that is not including packaging.
  12. You are assuming 'There's a man on earth 1 who looks like jay Garrick but is named hunter' is not Zoom, and has not been jumping between worlds while from time to time taking time out to feed the birds. Guy in mask = earth 1 jay Garrick Earth 2 Garrick is just that - Zoom is not Garrick - he used reverse flash's change o magic to assume his identity so he could spy on earth 1 (he stole it) - this is why his dna did not match Garrick. His true id is not really known
  13. I think it's the way they comb down her hair that makes her look that way. Not sure why the hairdressers do that, it makes her look less attractive. Wonder why they went with a full beard instead of a goatee for Oliver. Was grunge - older - given up on everything Oliver there - the snappy goatee takes some work. Would probably be the clean cut confident (cocky) Oliver you would need for that.
  14. Plustek OpticPro A320 Has the right scanner type - but I do not think anyone here has tried it (I have asked about it before . not cheap - 500-600 - but not over the top either I would love to try one - but no time at the moment
  15. Can't you set up a regular PO box to send all your business mail to? That way the only that gets sent to your store box will be junk mail. That is a situation you can control, and that $25 for the rekey would have paid for about 6 months of a decent sized PO box. -- does not help his current situation, though - his resale certificate is in the box now and that is needed for Diamond. Any chance your state has an online site??? - Illinois - you get hardcopy but also all of your documentation is downloadable. I do not know specifically - if your state would allow a printout of the certificate for operating - but a pdf should work for diamond.
  16. No no no no no - Gabe needs to learn how to get better at estimating FMV - he should not be trading - please - I don't understand where I went wrong I checked out ebay's sold listing like you told me and I gave you my answer as what I see the FMV of my jla #1 being. Hey - was just trying to appeal to someone to not temp you with a trade. The idea was for you to post your process. Noting wrong - just did not really want With estimating - I am trying to help you get a handle on FMV. By going through the thought process - at a bare minimum people can help correct or teach you a better method. FMV - fair market value is really hard to figure with comics sometimes. Different venues - have different sale prices and different cost structures for a profit - but individual fair market value is what someone is willing to pay. It is from the BUYERS point of view - when setting this in a deal - remember that. Gauging FMV.. Adjust later. Think only about what the book will sell for - do not adjust for shipping unless the reference is unreasonable. You stated that you used ebay SOLD listings. Not a bad place when paired with GPA. Easy to search. Have to really go and look at the books too (because of "ebay grading"). For the JLA 1 - not a lot of data anywhere. One way higher price with repro cover - one lower price. Your FMV range may be decent - for a graded copy that does not look like it has as ton of tape. The scoobies? where did you get $3? I see the lower singles around 5 with a high range ~ 10. Only thing I can think of - is that you are adjusting for volume. Go through the math individually first - THEN adjust. Based on what you stared - you valued the scoobies at 90 vs one book of 100+. You would lose on that trade. I would look at the lower FMV values - you had 100 vs 20 of the scoobies. BUT - the adjustment - that many of one book is TOUGH to move quickly and requires a lot of effort. This is where you adjust. Me - I would not make any deal for that many books what will have to move at 5 each to get any of the significant FMV back quickly. If I valued the single at 100 - I would need at least 50 of the books. This has a LOT do to with the volume of the book- and that it is a more common modern. A much better question - if you have a FMV of 100-150 on the JLA - why in the world do you have it priced at 250 (and this is after lowering it) ---- if you want to be patient and maybe get lucky - great - if you are looking to move - pricing it that far over FMV..... well it does not work. If you train yourself to make better BUYING decisions - then a lot of he losses turn into gains.
  17. a "mark jewlers" army flick.... I still have many from the collection I found - some of the cooler ones were the army books. Armed forces inserts- in army books.......
