Well, he could have gone darker. He could have severed the head of one of the criminals that he captured and carried that head around with him and talked to it the way he talked to Robin—like the way the Tom Hanks character talked to the volleyball named Wilson in Cast Away. Now that would have been dark.

I guess Batman's pillow talk with Robin added a layer to the comics, but Robin still gets on my nerves. And Tec 38 is the worst cover of the run; it's almost as bad as the issue of Batman that has Alfred twerking on stage.

Without Robin there is no The Batman movie in 2022.  I believe that.

I would consider buying a Tec 38 but only at 40-50% off going rate in today's market. :sumo:

paging @Chicago Boy Robin's greatest cheerleader lol

The other day on Instagram I saw someone post a handful of (entry level) 38s in his collection. As if 1 copy wouldn't be bad enough. Is that you Chicago Boy ? :baiting:

    Seek HELP. Quickly.

I've finally come to the realization that Tec 38 will NEVER be the book I thought it would or should be,  I am a product of my time and the watering down of the number of Robin's didn't help the cause.

I’m going to say $130K for the coverless Tec 27. I think it sells for close to $200K if it was a perfect/nice page coverless copy. This one is missing a small piece out of page 2-7, which slightly affects story. Think that will affect the potential sale, despite being complete.

I’m also super interested to see what this beautiful Tec 33 goes for.

130 would be great.  150 would better.....

    I’d say around $80k.

I think retail it's worth 110- 120k in todays market  but who knows in a bidding war. Nothing would surprise me.  For those with a low 6 figure budget this is the closest your are going to get for a complete unrestored Tec 27. Coverless Action 1 maybe 150k

I remember the good old days when a million dollars would pretty much buy you a mansion in the expensive West side of the city here. (thumbsu

Nowadays, a million dollars wouldn't even allow you to buy a derelict teardown shack in the East side slums of the city here.  :(  :censored:

    Where's "here"  ?

Harold you should know by now that "regret" is my middle name.  And no, comics are not yet done with me

Great Caesars Ghost !!   That's your book ??!!!  You picked the right time to move the Bats over the Cap if you were going to decide to sell for max $ amount that's for sure !  I'll be rooting you on as the auction nears it's end.

I visited Graceland on my first visit to the USA in 2017. It was on my Birthday. Best gift I ever received.

When I was in the Graceland stores, my wife refused to hand me my wallet.

I spent 8 hours there in 1993.  Loved every second of it. Looking forwards to Baz's vision of The King but NOTHING will top Kurt Russell's performance in 1979. I don't like this guys new look personally.  I preferred Russel, Michael St Gerard, or Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Had never heard the theory before that his little capes were a nod to Captain Marvel Jr as well as  the lightening bolt in TCB logo

Thought the same thing. I also heard that Goldin did NOT buy the Rocket copy Action 1 (as reported here) but  actually just bid for the new owner on the deal.  Their last auction had no sizzle. They were great out of the gate and now not even a Feb auction that we can count on. I had a feeling there was no Feb auction once they reneged on January

It's funny how we can all look at the same results and get a 100% different interpretation of them. I think both Action and Detective sold pretty much where a lot of us thought they would/should land or even a bit higher then expected. The June Tec 27 5.0 WP ( good looking book)! sale made think there was a chance the book might come in a under a million ( it was not a good looking book imho and the page quality at this level has to be considered to have had some impact) & it ends up going over the 5.0 sale, it's just crazy times. The Secret Wars Zeck Page was just f#ckin insane and I don't care who bought it or how much money they have imho they got caught up in the " I gotta have it auction hype" & paid to much............................. but damn it was fun to watch.

When you putting up your TEc again on the Bay ??  C'mon you know you want to :)   !!!!!!

I was disappointed in the TEc 27 sale actually.  Besides the PQ. very nice looking book.  MC 1 is neck in neck with Bats 1.  Used to be a day when it was with Cap 1.  That More Fun Comics 76 went for 200k --3ok a point but the Super 1 ).5 for 100k wish was awesome !  Basically SUpes, Bats, and Spidey are KING.  MC 1 might be #5 now out of top 5
