  1. TIMMY!!! Where you been? Can't say hi anymore? I'm collecting Whiz now.
  2. Yeah I am trying to put an early run together. I'm not a huge fan of Schomburg's later work so I am going to limit it to issue #30 or so. thanks! Roy, going through the "big" books, #51 as i recall, is also a possibility, and gets you all the great covers in the 40's ---zeppelin, bridge, super-plane, dam and the green worm. I agree there are some great covers....but I need to limit myself and the #2-30 run has enough variation between 3 heroes to keep it exciting. I also need to set a $$ limit.

  4. don't feel bad posting that gem; Bedrock doesn't even have one of those. Really? Now that is a feat I should be proud of! R.
  5. Well, I was going to post this but it seems a little sub par compared to that last display. Oh well...I like it.
  6. After making it a challenge to myself to find an early Action I dug one up in Philly. I had several people who were looking for one tell me that there weren't any. I probably won't keep it long as it's not my thing (as I have enough "things" to keep me going right now) but is it ever pretty for a low grade copy. Tape on the spine, glue under the spine and probably off white to white pages underneath.
  7. I'm wondering if that Danger Trail #4 is a tough book in grade. A local dealer has one in about 8.5/9.0 Anyone have a suggestion as to price? R.
  8. LOVE the colors. Glad it finally made it! I'm always amazed at the little details these GGA artists put into these works...stuff like the "tiny' air pocket between her ribs at the lower hem of her her top, or the green garter showing on the right leg of the girl on Fantastic Comics #4, or ...well you get the idea!
  9. Hey gang. I have a couple of GA books going up including a Wonderworld Comics #3 as well as some higher grade SA. You can look here if you are interested. Thanks! R.
  10. low grade, raw moderns please. I'm running out of money. Good point - me too..., quit laughin' and start postin' Scanning right now....

  13. He didn't try anything constructive john. edit: because there was nothing firm in the post regarding time or price so it was not an actual auctionn. R.
  14. Well then, there seems to be enough Forum members to divide into two threads: 1) Probation List, with the potential for resolving issues and being removed from Probation status 2) Permanent "Do Not Deal With" List, as some members view the Probation List as anyway. Andy that's not the issue here. The issue is should people on the probation list be dealing with people who put them on the probation list. R. You are just plain uninformed - who "put" them on the list? It's not worth running in circles about. Like I said in another thread...I'll back off and I hope Old Man does well around here as part of the community. (thumbs u
