  1. Hey gang. Human Torch CGC 6.5 for sale if anyone is interested. Thanks!
  2. Roy, I love this book. And yours is so pretty. In about a week I will finally have a copy to fill the gaping hole in my 1-10 run. A group shot to follow....
  3. I always wondered if the "reds" on #5 where supposed to be slightly orange or if they were all a bit faded...seems as though that is the way they were supposed to look. Man Rich, I love your copy....makes me want to go out and restore mine.
  4. Richard, you floor me. Not only that...you show me up every time. We virgos do not take challenges easy. I'm going to have to find some way to top that one.... I know you used to own this one..but it's all i have right now to tease you...
  5. It's just a low grade beater copy. I'm waiting for a VF/NM to come along.
  6. Yikes, that is nice. What grade did Nick give it, a VF/NM? NM (thumbs u Sorry Steve, I waaaaaaaaaay over-egged that one. I don't know why we bother to keep you around....charity maybe? Every village needs one. Correct, that why we have Roy. He's kind of dual purpose. Otis and Ernest T. Bass all rolled into one. Look, it's tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

  8. Beautiful! This is my girlfriend Louise's first Baker purchase from Dale Roberts in Detroit. She is in love with his artwork. Unfortunately I just noticed that the book is trimmed.
  9. Man that Daring Mystery #4 has such a cool cover. Schommy at his finest! R.
  10. i'll bring a couple 9.8 major inapaks to c'town and work a trade with you. VERY pretty Roy; gotta love wonderworld 1. issue #3 issue #3 (1)
  11. Those are really tough books in grade. #1 was hoarded because of the hype but sales went sour because it was ahead of it's time. Issues #4, 5 and 6 sales diminished drastically. #6 is the toughest and a black cover to boot. Congrats!
  12. I am speechless every time I dare to wander into this thread. Some of your stuff leaves the Geppi/Diamond museum left wanting. Does anyone know your identity here? I'd assume you would have dealers knocking at your door perpetually if they knew. Wonderful stuff! Roy.
  13. Somehow the cover got detached on this gem after it left my hands. What should have been a 4.5/5.0 is now a lowly 3.5. Oh well...nice PQ on her. I'll probably bring this to Chicago and see how she does....
  14. I worked over time tonite and got home just as the PO closed but I know it's there as I got the slip in my mail box. I'll let you know tomorrow...I'm expecting something in the Fine 6.0 range. R.
  15. Girlfriend says it's not for sale. (I let her believe it's her book)
  16. Just posted my Mystic Comics #2 V2 for sale again...time to make room for new purchases. Offers considered. Thanks for looking, gang! EDIT: It's sold!
  17. my favorite non-destroyer cover of the run, and maybe my favorite period. well done roy. here's mine. Mr. Parker...you have great taste! that is one of my favorite early Timely books as well..classic, clean and bold Schomburg. What a copy!! If you ever decide to throw it away....
  18. Nice Sardo! I just popped another cherry tonite...picked up my first V1 Mystic book from Socratic Wonder...I've strayed a bit from my original vision when I began buying Timely books...my prerequisites are the following: a) early Schomburg pulp like cover (not a fan of his later work) b) lower grade, higher eye appeal or restored c) variety of colors. This book fits all 3! An affordeable copy of my first black cover Timely and a classic Schomburg cover to boot!
