  1. Hey gang. I'm posting some really sweet GA books. Some of the stuff was picked up in Chicago and some is stuff I had on hand. Feel free to check it out. Link.
  2. roy, you might want to remove the lollypop stick out from the middle of the book...I couldn't find a trash can I'll just slab it...it won't bother anyone in there.
  3. Bought this a while ago but just picked it up from Socratic Wonder. Love it!!!
  4. My Journey Into Mystery collection is *possibly* going up for sale...I'm seriously considering it and leaning towards yes...will keep you posted.
  5. You had me going until you mentioned Suspense 3. Nobody reads Suspense 3.
  6. I'm going to use it as toilet paper to wipe my butt as I read my Suspense #3 on the toilet.
  7. Roy, I was in line behnd you (I like the colors on that book). Congrat's! Steve...literally or just figuratively? R. I've never attended Chicago, so just there in spirit. Ok, cause I thought you were the guy I had to elbow and step on to get to the book.

  9. I know this is just a turd but I bought it anyway. It fills a hole that will probably never be filled otherwise.
  10. Could it be because they are listed by a dealer, and thus have a perception of being offered elsewhere first? The "stink" of dealer stock...so to speak. No, that can't be it. Well I sure can't explain it. I have sold many books to board members, but always through PMs. Whenever I have listed stuff in the forum selling section it has been the kiss of death. West Texas tumbleweeds blow through my selling threads. Except for that $25 9.6 Lois Lane issue. That was sweet. It could be that the market here is limited when you take into account what you are trying to sell. I have a few other ideas, but I would be very disappointed if those were really the mitigating factors. That is a very logical explanation that I would have to agree to. Monday on a whim I threw up 4 books on Clink that didn't sell at the VCC, all priced slightly higher than for the VCC. Two sold in about 30-45 minutes at asking price, the other two sold that afternoon at a slight discount (but more than listed at the VCC). The audience in the FS threads here is merely a pimple on the comicbook communitys arse. As far as dealers who sell here, nothing but great experiences (and great deals). I made a logical and intelligent post? I must have been high. Hey, sun shines even on a dog's arse once in a while. Well then I guess you are long overdue. Buddy I am the sun.

  12. roy, what came later, the daredevil 'born again' arc, or miller's dark knight books? those would be the most "modern" books i have read. in other words, i am big-time deferring to your opinion on the relative merit of today's comics. Dark Knight was huge and that was mid 80's Daredevil's Born Again was a bit later. Very good reads. DC is doing now what Marvel was doing back then...intricate, dark story lines and well developed plots. Great art. Marvel is floundering. They just revamped Spider-man's life with a magic trick (undid the wedding between he and MJ, made everyone younger again), they turned the Marvel Universe on its ear using magic (when Scarlet Witch proclaimed "No more Mutants"...in short...very unoriginal. There is some saving grace....Ed Brubaker is tearing up a storm with Captain America, the latest Daredvil run has been fantastic for years now and Ultimate Spider-man was doing well in the vein of innocence and entertainment that the original SA 100 issues were in...Planet Hulk was not too bad (last 1 year long story line)...but they are really hurting over all.... R.
  13. Charles, I find that there is a sweet spot in the hi range, mid range and low range. For the hi range it is the 9.2/9.4 area. Mid range is 7.5 and 4.5/5.0 for the low range. These areas seem to be the most bang for the buck. Some people may argue and say that 9.0 is sweeter than 9.4 but I don't think you get the eye candy out of a 9.0 like you do a 9.4 *most of the time*. R.
  14. also added a Schomburg cover Real Life Comics #11 and a Feldstein cover WF #10. Thanks for looking!
  15. Guys and Gals..I am again dropping the price on my Human Torch #6 CGC 6.5. Asking $1100 or B/O. Majority of wear affects the back cover. Book had one grader at 7.0, the ct can easily be removed and I am sure there would be no effect on grade. Oustanding eye appeal on this Schomburg cover. I'm in the market place if you want to find me.
