I called a friend at a new comic book shop because I was not able to make it over there on the sixth and asked him if he would hold me the dog man and an investor gators books for my kids and he said yes. I went yesterday and he gave me, a bag filled with all the free comic book day books that were released.
If anyone has any interest in any of them, let me know. I don’t really want all of them. I have flipped through a few of them that peaked my interest, but I just sold my modern collection a month ago.

Story time...
My first experience with EC was the HBO Tales form the Crypt TV Show, I loved it!! I own the complete dvd set. There were a few stories that I really remembered that stuck out to me. And when I really started collecting EC books I was trying to get those issues. I have a few of them, especially 2 of my favorites.
Well I read VOH 16 just now and 3 of the 4 stories are on the TV show! I think thats the most from one issue. So needless to say this book is a Winner!
The 3 stories are, "Werewolf Concerto", "Fitting Punishment" (one of the TV adaptions I remember clearly) and "Escape!".
Ive also noticed that the TV adapted books go for a little more as well...
I mentioned that I liked 2 stories well here they are in no order "Carrion of death" (SSS 9) and "4-Sided Triangle" (SSS 17)

Possibly my #1 all time favorite book, over the years I've bought 7, 3 of which I still have. One of the first 3 PCH books I bought at the SDCC back around 1990. Just a fantastic issue inside and out. The Screaming Skull is awesome, and the The Hand Of Glory is, from what I've seen, my favorite Matt Fox interior work.
And these came in the mail yesterday...
Where did you get those wonderful toys?!

Is it good? I really struggle with wrestling and DWJ for some reason loves it, and it plays a theme in a lot of his latest work. I didn’t enjoy Beta Ray Bill because of it.
Can non wrestling fans enjoy this?I dont watch wrestling, last time I watched was early 2000s because I had nothing to do?.
I really enjoyed the book. I wish I was able to have gone to the LCS to see what others thought. It had some fun action sequences funny wrestling names. Anybody could enjoy it I think even if you’re not a wrestling fan like I am. I am a fan of Daniel, Warren Johnson. I think he captures action really well.

I really like Joelle Jones and read both of the series when they came out and really liked them.
Since then, I have sold those books and wanted to reread them and found this on eBay. Unfortunately the seller shipped in a padded envelope and there was extra damage. Only paid $20 for the book. Wondering if I should contact him and show him the damage?

Sounds like he has them over priced. Most aren’t rare with exceptions. Your offer sounded reasonable.
The wild card in the bunch is the WAC. Tough in any grade. I have maybe a 3.0. Have always wanted to upgrade but it rarely shows up and has gotton real pricey.
You probably should have just bought that one and left the rest…
The WAC was heavily taped and spilt and detached and I think he said brittle pages. Maybe a CGC 1.0 and was asking $600 for it. I needed the other books thats why I went after them all.
When I did speak to him at Kansas City last month he remembered the offer (Ive talked and bought from him for years now) and told me that when I offered it he was going to a panel and that the day was a cluster...
Oh well, he still has them all minus the WAC, I haven't made any offers on them since, maybe I should.

I guess it would depend on the issues and condition. ECs sell quickly in about any condition. That War Against Crime is a tough key. Depending on condition, I have seen it bring big money.
All the books that I made an offer on a year and a half ago the same dealer had the same books back 2017 they were all low grade condition buoks with only two horror books.
when I saw the same dealer in Kansas City two months ago, he had the exact same bucks minus the war against crime same price tags

now I'm kicking myself for blowing this off. Wonder what the price of that War against crime book was
Thought the same thing.
A year and a half ago at a small show here in St. Louis I made an offer on 15 EC bucks with that one included and the dealer did not take me serious. I was kind of dumbfounded.
All the 15 books added up to $1250. I offered $1000.

Well Im pretty excited! I sold my modern collection of about 3 long boxes and some McFarlane figures to a dealer/friend and I thought I did pretty well on price. So I dedicated all of it on EC books...And a few other PCH and crime that were not EC. Which I think I posted in this thread.
Heres the ECs!
