  1. Seems perfectly normal to me. Its the market place. People buy and sell books.
  2. Depends on what's "better". They cost about 8 cents less each when bought in quantity but are too long to fit inside the padded flat rate mailer. And it is an envelope...what made the box better for my purposes was that I was able to get all the protection of a box, the flexibility to ship 1 to 10 comics, while maintaining the ability to ship at an affordable flat rate. You can probably send that flat mailer by first class but, unless the buyer wants it sent that way, I never send comics first class. Makes sense. Thanks. I guess you just have to use a lot more filler if you only have a few books.
  3. It seems like this one would be better if you only had a few comics. From the same company. https://www.bagsunlimited.com/c-330-comic-mailers.aspx
  4. The part I don't understand in all this is the lack of cardboard in the packing. That was never going to work.
  5. Just received some books from Bio. Bomb proof packing. Well done.
  6. You should see how a Vamp 1 I bought on ebay came shipped. Downright frightening.
  7. It doesn't seem that complicated. At least for me and the wife. She has her spending money and I have mine. No need to ask for permission.
  8. So threads are getting yanked for no return policy, yet this remains. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8767976#Post8767976
  9. Second closed auction I believe. More like I expected at $71. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161768541334?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. To answer your question the way people use it (correctly or not) is that it doesn't matter. In this case they are saying it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about mystery boxes since they are now banned. Or it doesn't matter the pros and cons of mystery boxes since they are banned.
  11. The postal gods did indeed favor me. It appears after comparing scans from the original sale no damage is showing. Finally I'm in the Vamp 1 club. Pretty happy to snag this for $75. Here is the packing. It was in this first: And then this: The whole package could have easily just been bent in half.
  12. Sees like an overreaction to ban mystery boxes. How many complaints have there actually been? Or PL nominations resulting from them? They aren't for everyone. But that goes for pretty much any sale.
  13. Are you kidding me! A padded envelope? I envision it coming bent in half. This guy literally shipped it within 20 minutes of me buying it. That happens never. I have not had any luck lately. I can always send it back. But damn, i've been looking for ages for a cheap copy.
  14. So I just snagged a vamp 1 off ebay that I think is a very good deal. The seller never sold anything before. I wrote up a long email about proper packing for comics. He replied he already sent it, but don't worry, there is a backing board so that should protect it in the padded envelope.
  15. Follow the rules or get your thread pulled. Then you can just update your thread and try again. A default seems unnecessary.
  16. Lots of bids right away and then nothing. Weird.
  17. This is the first sale of a slabbed Mad Max I believe. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAD-MAX-FURY-ROAD-CGC-9-8-NUX-IMMORTAN-JOE-1-DC-VERTIGO-2015-COMIC-SOLD-OUT-/141714068352?autorefresh=true&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=CRc9wzBtXmaPmcu6eh9TEFTRR3s%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc 49.00
  18. I think you need to narrow down your nomination. And it should only include things that happened to you, not other people.
  19. How exactly have you determined the price was outlandish?
  20. Yep. The warning is needed. And can't someone be removed from the list?
