  1. I'll take Howard the Duck 12 and 13 at 10% off please
  2. Yep, some definite overlap of favorites, assuming I can get you to throw in the upside down swing cover - LOVE that rich, blue background. And that yours are signed, even all the more betterer!
  3. Totally the kind of stuff a kid growing up in Chicago would have seen in Joe Sarno's shops!
  4. Hi Brian. Old post, I know, but I was just looking at some Mad covers and noticed your link. You've got some fantastic albums over on flickr! I was a fairly active member about ten years ago, but I eventually threw in the towel during the early days of tumblr and pinterest after everybody started reposting all my images with neither permission nor credit often. Anyway, I look forward to browsing some of those albums this weekend. Your war books are great. Do you still have most of the stuff pictured?
  5. Boy, Smith sure took his art in an ambitious direction - think about his trajectory from the Kirby-clone stuff to the Studio stuff much like this and beyond.
  6. Thanks for the heads-up. I didn't have anything that I HAD to have saved in my watch list, but I didn't want the coupon to go to waste so I ordered some backer boards.
  7. One of my favorites by Freas from that era, which is the best in my opinion. So many great covers in numbers 40-60ish, although I equally cherish a lot of the later movie and TV spoofs throughout the run. What's your favorite run of issues, Robot Man?
  8. 3.0, and you can fold down a few of those flaps yourself and leave it packed in a box for forty years and, voila! - poor man's press.
  9. Merry Christmas and good tidings throughout the Boards! Here's some vintage Christmas card-goodness which I believe is, coincidentally, my 1,000th post to boot!
  10. THAT... is one crazy ambitious post! So intricately planned and executed. I tip my hat to you. p.s. Of course the comics are more than worthy of your ambitious efforts. That would be an admirable collection for a lifetime let alone a year.
  11. Lamentably - zero copies. But huge congrats to the boardies that own copies, as I view it as quite an honor.
  12. Wow! Can you think of a better take-along than a photo like that?? Total context and provenance.
