Wow to think i overpaid for my 6.5 plus a copy of FF49 for $2200.
I also have a 6.5. I bought it, a 2.5 FF1, and a 7.0 ASM 101 for $8,000 in January of 2019 from a Craigslist purchase. Met at a local police station to complete the transaction! They are the only 3 graded comics I own.

$7,000 for a 6.5 the other day. OW-W. Just unbelievable.
The seller has 3 others listed currently.

it is truly a great movie
Funny that of the 4 stars the lead would have the worst career.
But it is a great movie in every way. My kids loved it when I ran it by them
You are right about Dennis Christopher. And he was great in that movie.
And also right about it being a great family movie. I forced it into family movie night and my family loved it (OK they tolerated it). Kids ages 16,13,12.

Sorry for double post. Breaking Away is my all time favorite underdog/feel good movie.

Actually the 1966 Topps Batman cards have gone crazy as well. Especially PSA graded cards of Batman, the #1 card in the set. Shocking I know.

Nice pickup. If your HFB prices like mine there was no premium for the variant!

I was collecting Bats a little before and after issue number 300. Looked recently and stopped at 308

Hucksterism right here on the boards
Honestly I cannot ever remember seeing this book before and then I saw this and one today on craigslist for 25 bucks.

Marvel Team Up 141 is also from May 1984.

That’s awesome. Where did you get them?

I put the grader notes in my FF #1 I had on the boards a little over a year ago. Never heard anything about it being against the rules.

Beckett - distant 3rd??
Pretty sure that was/is still SGCBased on what I see on net54baseball.com I believe this to be true. Not sure how to substantiate.

Awesome card Doc. What is the grade? Guessing a 4 or 4.5.
The card trimming scandal linked to PSA is the reason CGC is doing this. It is going to be a tough road for CGC. PSA appears to have weathered the storm. SGC has picked up some market share and Beckett is still a distant third. For CGC to dent PSA's and SGC's market share is going to be a tall order IMHO.

I had subscriptions to ASM, Cap, Avengers, and Nova from 1977-1984. Mine all came like that in the brown envelopes. Still have them (the comics, not the envelopes) and for the most part they all arrived in great condition. Still remember the name of our mailman - Al. He was a great guy and I think he knew the comics were mine and he must have handled them with some TLC. Thanks Al wherever you are!
