  1. No...namisgr... Got a Wyatt Earp #30, Marvel Special Edition #7, and Marvel Greatest #39 from Memorez... Jim
  2. Kind of takes out the thrill in collecting them... Jim
  3. Offers are fine. But courtesy works both ways as well. If a seller says no, they don't need a follow-up e-mail telling them the book is too expensive or it's their last offer...as if it matters at that point... Jim
  4. Big kudos to new Forum member MemorezGuy. Some sweet pic frame comics I bought from him via his selling thread arrived today. The guy's on the up and up... (thumbs u Jim
  5. Year wouldn't be complete without Sterling trying to back away...but he always gets pulled back in... It should be recognized as a disease I tell ya... Nice Charltons by the way... (thumbs u Jim
  6. Bottomline...did you back out of a deal with Pirate? If so, you only have yourself to blame. Sometimes little mistakes are all it takes...especially when making first impressions... Jim
  7. Because I'm bored out of my skull and need something to do, I'm thinking about offering some comics from my collection later today or tomorrow. They will be a mix of late-Silver/Bronze Age raw and slabs. Truth be told, I'm not sure what I'm going to sell yet but recommendations are encouraged so I don't waste too much time... Jim
  8. Westerns are very underappreciated which is odd in way considering alot of them have tremendous covers... (thumbs u Jim
  9. Nothing exclusionary about it. This isn't eBay. Unless something has changed this Forum is about collecting comics first with buying and selling a secondary by-product. I hear ya...it just takes a few bad eggs to taint the rest. There no ideal way to combat this unfortunately... Jim
  10. Neither do I. In fact the Forum sellers I deal with hasn't changed that much over the last two years with very few added during that time... Jim
  11. You did Sharon...my apologies as I was primarily replying to Annillius' post... Jim
  12. I'm not saying a seller should be judged solely on post count. It's clear members having a high post count doesn't necessarily translate to a majority of them being quality posts. But these members are here, are participating regularly, and are usually easy to find. It's the ones who are posting primarily in the Marketplace threads at the exclusion of the rest of the Forum that I see as a problem. I guess it all comes down to intentions...and if all you're here for is to buy/sell then maybe this isn't the place for you. Hard thing to gauge really as it seems the problem children aren't in that group but it should start somewhere... Jim
  13. I've been against this from the start. There are multiple places for people to hawk their wares on the Internet. The Marketplace shouldn't be another of their stops unless they are able to stick around and contribute to the Forum as a whole. This includes spamming their eBay wares. I'm sure it's helping CGC's new member count but it's definitely hurting the quality and general good faith aspect of this Board. What started as a great idea is becoming in alot of respects as much a buyers beware area as eBay. I'm not sure that's good for the Marketplace, the Forum, or CGC themselves since they sponsor these Boards... Jim
  14. Very... thats one of the three issues placed in a polybag with the floating card . I know...but with pressing being prevalent, it's not a surprise... Jim
  15. This whole situation highlights what's different about this Forum now than, let's say, three years ago. Used to be that Forum members respected others' collecting goals especially those with a narrow focus. Apparently that respect has been lost and replaced with oneupmanship... Jim
  16. hater. Weren't you a young welcher that got let off the hook mr. kettle? (thumbs u I still don't buy the story by the way... Jim
  17. Sinestro and Black Hand If this is the right answer, I won't be able to provide the next question as have some errands to do. Someone just throw another up to keep this going... Jim
  18. Thanks to a tip from a fellow Forum member this arrived today... Jim
