  1. Jeez guy do you have some type of persecution complex? That's essentially what you said in three posts. Next time I'll add "essentially" so you won't think everyone's ganging up on you... Jim Would it be right of me to quote you in this way? "I don't care what Dale thinks and I don't care what the moderator thinks, and I don't care what the guidelines are, this is what I think needs to happen", because that is essentially the same thing you did to me. Change that to caring about what the mod thinks and the spirit of the guidelines and I have no problem with it... (thumbs u Jim Thats kind of the point though right?? Quotations mean a direct quote. And since that is not what you said or think, then it is not really appropriate. No...you were mostly right. Have you ever heard of paraphrasing? But looking at your quote, since the mod hasn't chimed in on your three threads in one day and doing so goes against what the guidelines were put in place for AND what the Board concensus was before your buddies chimed in then your quote was faulty. My quote was essentially paraphrasing what you said in a couple posts so I stand by it. Jim

  4. You aren't the first to be called out for multiple threads so you can can the victim angle. There's a reason people mentioned your multiple threads...that's because others in the past have taken advantage of doing so. It's common courtesy as well. You aren't the only seller in the Marketplace and creating multiple threads put them at a disadvantage...especially considering who you are... I and others were polite when we posted about the threads. You responded with "I don't see it in the rules, so I'll do whatever I want" instead of asking why. I take it you don't take constructive criticism well... Jim
  5. Doesn't really matter. Just start a thread per comic title, or age, or, hell, whatever you can rationalize. That'll ensure you plenty of front page real estate... Here's an idea...start three threads, and or course have some rationization on why you have three, and add to each one sequentially. That'll ensure you have all three at the top... (thumbs u Jim
  6. More than two in my opinion. And just to be clear, I politely mentioned Dale's three threads in one day and why it might not be a good idea. He has decided to be pretty bullheaded about the matter...very similiar to what happened in his other pulled sales thread. Jim
  7. At a minimum it will curtail, to an extent, the hemming and hawing against those members who do point out violations... Jim
  8. Exactly...set-up a clickable page thru for selling comics and the apologists have no basis to talk... Jim
  9. It removes the ignorance factor... Jim Impossible. True...but it'll allow the "Forum Police", who/whatever that is, to nip it in the bud immediately instead of the normal "I'm a newbie", "I wasn't sure", etc, goatrope that transpires in most those threads... Jim
  10. I know where to go to get to those comics. There's no reason to post them here as well. And regardless, there's an area for them to link to on this Forum anyway. The rule is great as is in this regard... Jim
  11. That's not the only factor. If you're asking for a 15-20% discount on an item, I guess it does matter... I've never asked for it but some sellers on the Forum have when talking negotiated price... Jim
  12. If someone wants to negotiate on the price of your book, then I do not see using the paypal fees or whether or not if they will pay by check or MO as part of the negotiation as anything wrong. This is of course before the deal is finalized. Agreed. I've paid Paypal fees in the past as part of negotiating a discount. Jim
  13. I'm surprised he didn't want a significant discount also... Jim
  14. I thought the IF 30 cent variants were relatively common. Why the higher prices? Jim
  15. Kudos to Nik for a super sweet Bronze Marvel western... Thanks to nochips for another batch of nice miscellanous Bronze goodies... (thumbs u And high praise and salutations go out to namisgr for a great HG Avengers #94... Jim
  16. I think it's official...the Marketplace has become the most active sub-Forum on this Board. There are so many threads now that I only have time to look at certain sellers'' offerings...kinda like the VCC... Jim
  17. I saw the auction this morning and wondered about the Monterey claim since it's not noted on the label... (thumbs u Jim
  18. Monterey copy? How can you tell? Does it come with a certificate? Jim
  19. You mean 3 books that I actually collect? How are the grades? NM- on the MSE...the others VF... The WE has the exact same printing error as the #30 you sold me except without paint rub... Jim
  20. .... have you actually had that happen? That's ri-gawd-dam-diculous too...maybe even worse! Yep...both happened at the last VCC I set-up at... That's the reason I put the "don't take no personally" comment in my last sales thread... Jim
