Here’s what I would love to see. Give Lashana Lynch’s Nomi character the next film after No Time to Die. Solo. Obviously she is not James Bond. Just based on how cool she is in the trailers, I would love to see her carry a series of films as Nomi X. I would still prefer she get a different 00 number though. These movies could cross into future Bond films after they replace Craig. As long as they don’t treat her films like a spin-off. They would need the full treatment and weight to stand alone. Also, it seems like we got a new Bond movie every two years in the 80’s. After that it started getting longer. With two characters carrying the 00 franchise, we could have these movies alternating every other year as long as they were always filming concurrently.

I also really enjoyed Chronicles but it ended up with a poor box office. Negative reviews as well. He couldn’t get a third one made after that so he had to put up some of his own funding. My guess is they decided to go back to what made the original a success which was the simple sci-fi creature feature theme.

Marvel film & TV rights shell game - who owns what?
▫️ replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
If I owned a company and one of my employees created something that made me literally billions of dollars, I can afford to share the wealth despite the fine print that says he just gets paid by the page. It’s doing the right thing. -
Marvel film & TV rights shell game - who owns what?

What is sad is that the families of the creators will lose. I heard Marvel’s daddy has a decent lawyer. They will show it was all work for hire. They may be correct on that point and will win based off it but man that shows a serious lack of integrity. -

I thought I clicked wrong and ended up in a She-Hulk thread. -
Days of Future Past (both released cuts) remains one of my favorite Marvel movies up there with Winter Soldier but I’m still looking forward to a reboot and full on Marvel treatment.

Wow, you gonna make Mexico pay for that post? -
Ok, so I got the first one free and I guess Audible includes one credit for all new members so I used that credit to get the second part. I think I may subscribe to this service.

I’m not sure why I’m interested in this. Wright does have a voice I strangely enjoy. I’m doing a 13 hour nonstop flight next week so this will definitely be downloaded and on the playlist.

So I can’t say that Trump and Biden are the two worst back to back leaders my country has ever seen? I’m of course referring to my last two corporate sales managers, who coincidentally have the same last names as certain political figures. -

Barbara Broccoli didn’t get any flak when she essentially said the same thing: “James Bond can be any colour, but he is male.”- 465 replies

Yeah, but its $4.99 a month. Definitely worth a cup of coffee to see this and a couple others for 30 days and then cancel.

WB's JOKER: THE SEQUEL directed by Todd Phillips (TBD)

I like to think of them as Miller does. He says they are all standalone films. Works for me. No sequels. The Gibson ones are dear to me and now Hardy is cementing his place in the line. -
All I want is a digital version of Justice is Gray on iTunes. For now, I have HBOMAX but I’m not keeping it indefinitely.

Didn’t want to create a new topic but I think this was created just for streaming on AppleTV. Looks like a good family film.

True, they need to find a good middle ground on trailers. I wanted to share the trailer for Upgrade with my brother today after I posted about it and I watched that trailer for the first time and it reveals nearly the entire kitchen fight. I wanted him to go in cold on this movie so I nixed it. Man of Steel did it right with a great teaser followed by trailers that didn’t give away too much. At least the first few that I remember. I didn’t watch all the tv spots.

Not a whole lot of new scenes. Still pretty much the same trailer with a different soundtrack.

Venom 2 - "There's Gonna Be Carnage" (10/2/20?)

I think this movie came out the same year as Venom. Vastly more entertaining. -
I was looking forward to a third movie with Old Man Arnold reprising his role as Conan the Conquerer (or whatever they planned on calling it). Stallone managed a spectacular series comeback with Rambo 4 twenty-years later. It should have ended there as the last scene was the perfect close for the entire series. But they had to make the mediocre part 5. Arnold needs to get back in the gym and give us a third Conan movie.
