  1. Reloaded is worth the price of admission alone for the 14 minute highway chase/fight scene. While the scripts for 2 and 3 don’t compare to the first, I still enjoyed the sequels and rewatch certain scenes in them over and over.
  2. This is exactly the tone in which I read the above statement:
  3. I’m sure his children would be proud if they were alive. Probably starved during the two weeks daddy spent watching this turd. I can’t even watch my favorite movies ten times in a month let alone a hundred.
  4. They can grab my cash, I’ll watch it. Once thing is certain, it’s going to look incredible.
  5. Never heard of her. Just looked her up and she has two films under her belt. Pretty impressive to get a Marvel film as your third movie. I haven’t seen anything she’s done but I’ll check out Candyman despite all the previous bad iterations. I’ll say she definitely has the right influences in film making. Scorsese, Coppola, Lumet and Spielberg.
  6. It doesn’t matter because that movie was a big pile of poo. Which is a shame considering they had a big budget and some great effects. There was potential.
  7. I guess they heard people had suicidal thoughts because they couldn’t live in a world like Pandora. So if people were dying to get there, well you just know Disney will build it.
  8. I agree they should concentrate all their efforts on the Mandalorian. Spare no expense on guest writers and directors.
  9. I put Man of Steel at number 3 right after Superman 78 even though I’ve rewatched MOS more than the others.
  10. That’s the point. They are in it to make money. Nothing wrong with that. They entertain the masses. But it’s the same old thing. It’s a franchise in the league of F&F and Transformers which I have also grown tired of. Billion dollar box offices the masses love. DC has taken risks and sometimes it’s knocked out of the park and sometimes it falls flat. It hasn’t got as good as The Dark Knight but no Marvel movie has ever come close to that either. I get excited for DC projects knowing they are not trying to sell out and make something for the masses. The Suicide Squad was for the fans. They get my respect for making that decision to lose money by nailing that hard R and of course taking a huge risk.
  11. But he doesn’t have an opinion, he just likes what everyone else likes in pop culture.
  12. Never been a Harley fan but I also think Robbie didn’t have a lot to work with as far as good lines or scenarios in previous outings. She was fine here though as I wasn’t annoyed with her.
  13. I disagree, I think Marvel is the Fast and Furious of superhero movies appealing to the masses. No risky moves. At least they put out Winter Soldier which is the only memorable one for me.
  14. I thought that opening scene killing an entire village of friendlies was a funny travesty. Not laugh out loud funny, but “seriously, what the hell?” kind of funny. The over-the-top violence was great and a welcome addition over the run-of-the-mill Disney formula which I have grown tired of. But that formula works for them and for the masses so it won’t be changed. Shiny object wins over dark object. I agree that the whirlwind romance scene could have been omitted as it didn’t really add much except started that chain reaction of battlefield promotions. I think three people became president for a moment before dying. If that was showcased better, it could have been funny. I don’t agree with the high critical response but the movie was good, better than Black Widow which I thought was ok. I love the fact Will Smith was not in it as I think Elba is a better and more charismatic actor. He definitely was more badass in that role than Smith was previously. I think they should have waited for Bautista to be free though as he would have been a far superior Peacemaker. Cena does succeed in making you despise him though.
  15. Stop renting Black Widow on Disney+ and purchase/own it on amazon or iTunes for the same price.
  16. That’s the question. I keep hearing this is the new normal. I don’t believe anyone has those answers.
  17. T-Mobile will cover a basic subscription to Netflix for free but I just upgraded to a Premium plan for the UHD streaming option. It’s $18 and T-Mobile covers half of it. I’m good with $9 a month unless Netflix hikes up their prices further.
  18. I know how the system works. I’m just not worried about it. If they don’t make anymore sequels based off prior box office, I won’t lose sleep.
  19. Not sure why people have an infatuation with what a film makes. That criteria has never determined the quality of a movie. I think some like to say the movies they like make more money. Wasn’t Shawshank Redemption a box office failure? I think over the years they recouped with streaming deals and home media sales. I really don’t care, I love that movie. There are so many more in that category as well.
  20. I got paranoid and checked my copy of Splash on iTunes. Still the original cut. I wondered because studios have replaced copies of itunes movies I bought in HD with 4K versions like Raiders of the Lost Ark and quite a few others. No extra charge.
  21. The library available on HBOMAX is impressive. It dwarfs Disney+. Until Disney ups their content its just not worth it to me since I already own all the Star Wars and select Marvel movies on either Blu-ray or itunes. Netflix and HBO have more value over D+. However, if I had young kids, I would definitely keep Disney.
