  1. It’s no longer the best man or woman for the job. Everybody gets a trophy.
  2. I will just echo the comments in the thread stating it’s much better than Captain Marvel and WW84. I would never watch either of those a second time but I can watch Black Widow again despite some major missed opportunities.
  3. I almost never laugh. It’s a sickness. The funniest movies and shows will give me a big goofy smile. But anyway, Curb your Enthusiasm is gold to me. For movies, I’m still trying to think of one. I remember the Hanks maniacal laugh scene in The Money Pit got me back in the day.
  4. Me too. The RT score was in the 50’s while the audience score was in the 80’s. Worth a look to me.
  5. Was going to watch this last week and forgot about it. Perfect RT score got my attention.
  6. Black Panther was good. Good enough for me to purchase. But still a cookie cutter story. Nothing wrong with that but there’s no comparison with The Dark Knight. And thats saying something when I don’t like Bale as Bruce Wayne and hated the Bat suit.
  7. I loved Escape from Butcher Bay on XBOX. And when the sequel (Dark Athena) came out for the next gen systems, they included a remastered version of Butcher Bay that looked incredible. That was worth the purchase alone.
  8. I got a love/hate thing with the third one. Feels like they tried to remake the original. The first half hour was the best part. Pretty much just silent survival. I bought the unrated cut and while it doesn’t measure up to Pitch Black, its still fun to watch. Creature effects are well done. The one notable death by kicking a machete was just stupid though. But the cast was actually a fun mix of tough guys/gal. And I totally respect that Vin D. put up his house to get it made.
  9. Just watched this again recently. Amazing movie. There was a crappy remake once. They need to try again.
  10. Ok, I don’t know if the second one will suck. I’m rooting for it. Love Hardy and Woody. But hopefully no one involved with the CGI from the first film returns.
  11. I agree. But this movie should have come out in 2014. Right after Winter Soldier.
  12. Insomnia did not feel like a Nolan film but I still enjoyed it. I’ve also really enjoyed more than half of Snyders output. Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen, Man of Steel and his cut of JL. The last three for me top the majority of Marvels franchise. Marvel makes solid hits for general audiences of all ages with little risk. Can’t fault them. Winter Soldier is the only one that really blew me away. I’m not a Snyder cheerleader though and I think he works best when paired with good writers.
  13. I didn’t feel like waiting for streaming options so I bought it on iTunes. Will watch tonight. When’s Part 2 coming?
  14. Loved the trailer, did not like the movie. Had great potential and ended up being pretty dumb.
  15. Oh Warner Bros.. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/e3423275-05ca-4c96-be55-fc24cb86c6e7
  16. I don’t think Darkseid saw anything except a flash of light followed immediately by Cyborg trying to separate the boxes. The sequence with Flash didn’t take any time. Literally.
  17. Me too. I don’t really know any critics by name other than Siskel and Ebert but several comments said this guy loved Josstice League and WW84 so…
  18. Wow, he did get some hate. Love the comment, “Can’t be worse than Captain Marvel.”
