  1. It was brought to my attention, some of the info presented wasn’t mine to share.
  2. Three months in... I failed. There's always next year.
  3. Great page there. Hopefully the consignor is rolling it into something they value more. Congrats to the new owner!
  4. Sure. One of the hottest modern artists doing a variant cover of one of the hottest modern series. The crazy thing is there were no characters from Strange Academy on this cover. I'd be curious to see what one of those variants brings to market today. I know I sold one of the variants for close to this price two years ago, even as the series was just starting to build momentum. Now it's much bigger.
  5. Still pretty strong for one of the weaker pages from the issue.
  6. She is making no mention of item descriptions and rushing each auction. Awesome for bidders and horrendous for sellers. She clearly doesn't know what she is selling. Heritage is leaving a lot of money on the table for themselves and not leaving a great taste for consignors. Dealers should be buying everything.
  7. Just wait for Across the Spider-Verse in June. Hopefully that will deliver.
  8. I really do think it was right books, wrong pages this auction. The Zeck Kraven and Sandman 1 pages being notable exceptions. The good news is, books overall were strong which is often a leading indicator of the art market.
  9. This felt like a steal! Such a great page. The buyer scored big for sure.
  10. Getting pretty excited! I know several collectors have been selling a ton of choice pieces to make a run at some of the art this week. Can’t wait!
  11. New goal for 2023: stop spending money Likelihood of success: low
  12. It's a good question. Honestly, while I use CAF a ton and consider it my central hub of the hobby, it really represents a very small sliver of OA collectors. The hobby is much bigger, so I don't know that Dueling Dealers really impacted the auction much.
  13. Yeah? I thought most were pretty strong finishes.
  14. I just finished loading up all my pieces for this evening. Hope some of you can join. I have some fun stuff that I’ve never made public. 11 pieces total, all new to CAF. I believe Dinesh has another 11-12 to show as well.
  15. Here is the link for our upcoming CAF interview. Tuesday @ 6pm PST
  16. I am downtown today. For anyone scared by this thread, the area around the convention is clean and welcoming. The city spent a ton of money renovating the center. It’s pretty nice.
  17. Getting ready to do another live youtube chat with Bill and Dinesh on Tuesday, March 7. Will post a link once I have it. It's been a bit since I uploaded, so I'll be adding in a lot of new art and talking through some of the pieces on the show. I know "first appearance art" isn't for everyone, but for those interested, there will be some fun examples.
  18. I appreciate all the different perspectives about the homeless situation in Seattle. However, my original post was simply to find out who is going though since I will be there regardless. I personally enjoy Seattle and haven’t had issues. Maybe we could take the other conversations to a different thread if everyone doesn’t mind. They are certainly important issues but not the intent of my post.
  19. That’s quite a bucket list of first appearance art.
  20. I went recently and it was fine. Honestly, I think a lot of this is a bit overblown and exaggerated. I didn't feel unsafe. They just pumped a ton of money into the convention center, and I am excited to go check it out. Last time I walked all over downtown without any issues.
  21. Checking in to see if any of you knuckleheads are heading to Seattle for ECCC.
