I didnt know they go on sale for that cheap!  That is a good deal!

A few years ago there was some weird glitch for a few weeks where all new digital tpb, MW etc releases came on sale for only 99c, local currency. Great for the consumers.

I miss those days. I got some great stuff I'd never have otherwise purchased.

And I know some of you will laugh at this.  But who can forget that dark day when Davy Jones was proudly carrying his just purchased 9.8 copy of H R Pufnstuf #48 across the Baltimore Comic Con show floor when some random dude pulled out his Glock and fired?  Bullet hit the bullet proof case at an angle, deflected into Bob Storms booth and hit him in a sensitive area.  Poor Bob still walks with a slight limp and stutters whenever he says the word 'thesaurus'.  A dark day indeed.

If only he'd taken that security escort to the parking lot...

  3. Mortal Kombat roster gives us a few viable Kangs. Liu Kang, Kang (should be Kung) Lao, second Sub-Zero is Liui Kiang aka Liui Kang. Then there's the note incidental types like Johhny Kang. Shao Kahng. Kotal Kahng.

It's basically a 'Choose Your Own Kang venture' story.

  4. Losing patience at seeing this. Getting reasy to obtain a digital copy to hold me over until the psychical arrives.

And yes, I do know one character death. That got spoiled for me in a spoiler-free review, yet there it is, him being ripped in half. Thanks asses. I'm somehow still hoping it's shopped (irrational) or cut footage, and they gave my man a break. I don't like this new trend of always sacrificing him straight up. It's not right.

    Did you get thanos correct?

I could of sworn it was thay  nos

I honestly was right on Thanos too. Small town kid has lots of time to practice imaginary names. News at 5!

Nah, I did a lot of speech and drama, so I was used to figuring this stuff out on the fly, and it often worked in my favour. Just for luck with Marvel. Now, DC on the other hand...

  6. Minor Character Cast Spoilers Ahead. Apparently, despite the end credits, Skarlet is NOT in the film. That's disappointing. Hopefully she makes it into the next film, if we get to turn this into a trilogy.

This isn't such a surprise, seeing as other ghost characters are listed (and a few misspellings), admittedly a carryover from the first film, which also suffered from the same poor editing.

My background in the hobby can be found here.

And I don't think I'm mischaracterizing Abramson at all.  He's a known conspiracy theorist.  Here are the title to three of his books.....Proof of Collusion......Proof of Conspiracy......Proof of Corruption.

Do you think he's doing this for the benefit of the hobby?  Or do you think he's doing it for his next 15 minutes and another million clicks....or perhaps another book deal?  He understands how this game and the internet today works.  He's very good at that.  All that's required is the accusation.....regardless of how thin your evidence is or if you even have any actual evidence.

Haspel gave a very good response explaining what his participation was with WATA, and why he isn't hiding the fact that he's selling games.  He essentially shredded the accusations that were levied against him by Abramson.  What did Abramson then do?  He ignored logic and facts and took everything Haspel said and twisted it to fit his own agenda.  Again, that's not what someone looking for the truth does.

Is there stuff that's a "bit dodgy", as you put it, going on in the hobby?  I'm sure there probably is.  Just like I'm sure there is in all of the collectible hobbies that are dealing in these kinds of dollar figures.   And if someone comes along that is actually familiar with the hobby, interested in the actual truth, and is willing to do real and honest research to reach a conclusion....no matter what that conclusion is......then I'll listen.  Seth Abramson is not that individual.

Thanks for that, I understand your place in the hobby now (like I said I'd thought you weren't interested in VG's, my bad), and you definitely know more about this Seth than I do. So sure, I'd put more weight on your opinion, no question. Mine still happens to be that something seems a bit off, and I don't think it's resolved just yet. Whether Seth or someone else, somebody needs to continue looking down this path and seeing what comes up.

This is originally why I thought perhaps a new rule needed to be voted on and approved.  A rule like that would be appropriate for a situation like this, where I don't think anybody in here would doubt Jimmers word on the situation.

Where I thought problems might arise, is when Joe Blow comes in here with his three posts and says.....Hey, my "buddy" on the list is no longer with us and we should remove him.  So I thought perhaps it would be better to address them on an individual basis and give everyone a chance to evaluate and vote.

The source definitely counts. Luckily here it's a slam-dunk case for reliability, but this will probably inspire some... less truthful attempts from less well known accounts. We'll have to be careful, but I don't believe a little inconvenience should stop us from removing a person from the list whose inclusion now no longer serves any purpose.
