  1. I like this part: "Bad Idea’s series will feature no variants, will not be released digitally, and “will not be collected into trade paperbacks, hardcovers, or other bookshelf formats” – the company will only produce single-issue comics and only sold in comic book stores." But the rest just sounds like a......BAD IDEA
  2. Meh, I have one. I wouldn't put anything of value in there.
  3. I love filling in my FF run with .50 or less. The Waid/Wieringo stuff is great, probably the last real fun FF stuff to be written.
  4. Isn't this where we make you feel guilty, and say you should have given him more? (I jest, as I am of the camp that the seller, should educate themselves as close to the buyer as possible, otherwise, no complaining).
  5. When does it end, and seriously, how difficult can it be. I want a Shogun Warrior label.
  6. Aside from heisting the photograph (that probably isn't Copyrighted), I doubt if it's illegal. Lazy and scammy for sure, but not illegal.
  7. I will go one further and say, Marvel has been in a dark period from much of the year 2000 an beyond. Utter garbage, with a few minor exceptions.
  8. Wait, we are supposed to read these things? In all seriousness, did it deserve a Will Eisner award....no. But, there are lots of books with terrible insides from a story point of view, that still do very well. Or maybe to your point, people just haven't read them yet.
  9. Still goes back to this whole thing being subjective, who was working at the time, did the person have an argument with their spouse that morning, did they miss lunch and have blood sugar issues, was their car keyed the night before, are they just plain exhausted from staring at funny books for 6 hours by the time they get to yours. And don't get me started on the 10.0, 9.9, 9.8, 9,6, 9,4, 9.2, 9.0 blah blah.
  10. Punisher 2004, when Frank Castle was fighting the Russian , while the neighbors across the way, were listening to Opera, cooking and dancing. Comical and disturbing.
  11. Not vintage, but I picked up Campy Creatures at Barnes and Noble last week. My son and I are having fun, going to bring my wife in on it, as it probably plays better with 3 or more.
  12. I guess it's more 'surprise' they don't do better $ sales wise, but if they are print runs that are in the million according to @RockMyAmadeus, then that would help explain. Still think it's a great 16 issue run, and a steal at $1 each.
  13. The first number popped into my head 8.5
  14. Agree. I am at a stage in life (both age and financially), that at this point, I want the nicest copy I can afford, and sometimes you just have to be happy with that 4.0, or 3.5 or 2.0. Just as long as you are paying fmv, somewhere down the line, you should be able to find another buyer who will be just as happy. Do I want a 9.8 IH #181, sure, but I also want my kid to go to college.
  15. Hmmm....I always thought and still think, the Spiderman run by Todd McFarlane (issues 1-16) is still undervalued, and everywhere. Aside from the #1's of all colors, most issues can be had for a buck. It was his last significant Marvel work before jumping to Image.
  16. About 10+ years ago, I saw one on Ebay. It was here in State (other coast, but I was even going to offer to pick it up if I won), and looked to be un-played with, all of the soldiers, gear, cannons were still in their un-opened bags. It even had the little comic book story that came with it. The play-mat appeared to never have been unfolded. Anyway, I lurked on it at about $150, then I started to bid with about 5 minutes left, I got outbid, then things went fast and furious as I kept upping my bid to $600. As the time expired, the final sale price was about $650. So close.
  17. My Saturday mornings religiously revolved around: waking up at 7 am, lugging this down the stairs to the basement. Flipping on Bugs Bunny, and setting this up. Eating breakfast (after my mom begrudgingly got out of bed so early to make), and after breakfast a battle broke loose. If I ever find one, unopened, I am paying dirty money.
  18. Yes. I am still waiting for the day, when people notice their comics turning green and growing mushrooms.
