  1. Wow GP really put out some beautiful work over the years. He was a little before my collecting time, so I missed a lot of his prime stuff growing up. Definitely looking forward to picking up some more of the books he worked on this year. Just picked up a first appearance of Deathstroke. Didnt know he was the creator. Was always a fan of the character design, and thought it would be the perfect book for me to send to the CGC signing.
  2. Great advice. That's exactly what I do. Have FUN. I don't buy for investment. I buy what I like, published or not. If its sick then its sick and I go for it to put on wall and enjoy looking at it! I would love to add some more TMNT artwork this year to add to my wall. Specifically a Kevin Eastman piece, and some more Stan Yak. Even open to other TMNT artist if the piece is awesome!
  3. Ya I would be a little reluctant too based on all the stories I've herd
  4. Yes I seen an article about the skull. I'm really hoping it does not happen!
  5. It was not something that I could show through a pic. You had to pinch it with your fingers to feel the clicking.
  6. Loved the character growing up in the 90's. Its pretty cool looking at it and saying Wow! This is the very first time we see The Punisher in the Marvel Universe! Such a cool feeling...
  7. Never thought I would own this book. It was my grail. Beginning of last year I did a search on the bay for a low grade copy. I just wanted a copy. Didn't care about value, I didn't plan to buy for investment potential but just own and enjoy one on display. I scored a 3.5 that displayed nicely for about $500. At the time I thought I was crazy paying that much for a book. Looks like I made a good move. Other day I seen a 3.5 for $1,500! Ya that would have been a no for me Oh and around the same time purchased a raw Spotlight #5 for $220 that came back a 3.5 from CGC. Looks like that was a good move too!
  8. After waiting forever for my Last Ronin book from the last Eastman signing, I received it with a case that was not sealed properly on the left side. It was popping open. CGC responded to my email by asking me for pictures instead of just saying send it back. Its like are they insinuating I am not telling the truth? Needles to say I didn't want to deal with the headache I can see coming so I sold it as is.
  9. Yes I find it extremely annoying that a show/movie makes books increase in popularity. I dont understand why a character being cast has anything to do with whether a book/character is desired or not. I enjoy comic characters based on the comic books I read, not tv shows or movies. To me seeing them on the big screen is just a bonus.
  10. I picked one up...I thought they looked much better in hand. The Turtles look pretty big. Very nice piece in my opinion and happy I picked one up.
  11. Sorry to here…ya this experience has not been a good one. First had to wait 7 months to get my book. Then get a remark thats more of a doodle from Eastman on a bad spot and to top it off a terrible case. I don’t think I will be doing this again any time soon.
  12. Ok thanks I didn’t know that. Very disappointing.
  13. My book finally made its way home. Happy about the 9.8 and Bishop remark but the Eastman remark is a little blah…but the extremely frustrating thing is that after waiting all this time my case came damaged. The left side of the case is not sealed. Also, as you can kind of see in the second pic, it had a bunch of scratches. Now I have to go through the trouble of getting this fixed smh!
  14. Mine finally shipped today! Can’t wait to get it!
  15. My book was received 12/14 and I’m still inSFG. Been there for weeks now!
  16. Ya I been SFG for at least 3 weeks…
  17. Personally I really like the Stan Yak covers, and ya seems like cover A for the first issue is the one.
  18. Funny thing is I think Cable is much cooler than Deadpool. I also think the cover to 87 is much more iconic than 98. Just my 2 cents.
  19. Mine are still showing “received”! How annoying! I sent my book the very first day the signing got posted! Now looks I’m receiving my book who knows when!
  20. Stan put this up for auction. I won. My favorite The Last Ronin artist.
  21. Got this one in yesterday straight from Stan. Pics just don’t do it justice! His version of The Last Ronin is by far my favorite!
  22. Exactly. Comics, CGC is the top dog. I wont argue that, but I dont see them dethroning PSA or even Beckett. Not saying they wont get some business from comic industry fans, but as a whole, no chance they take down PSA as the face in card grading.
  23. Always trips me out how many Walking Dead "fans" collect for value of the comics lol
