  1. A true work of art! Fabulous! If you have time to post a few splash pages before the inevitable entombing process takes place, great pleasure would be had by us Zip-less boardies!
  2. Didn't want to miss out on this epic event! I just voted. Hopefully there won't be any gerrymandering with the ballots...
  3. So the rumors are true: Santa does deliver presents to all of the Martian children who have been good all year!
  4. In that case I can sell them back to you, at only a modest price hike, I promise!
  5. And speaking of the esteemed MrBedrock, here are my 2 pickups from the tall man himself (also posted in the Baltimore thread started by Hudson in the General section):
  6. Well, of course. He's Mr. Bedrock after all. Snoresville, that guy!
  7. Wow. So many classics in that stash. Humbling to see.
  8. Sorry for disappearing the WF 21 at Bedrock City, but it looks like things worked out just fine, including a handsome WF 21 of your own! You'll need to find another short box, shortboxed, for those cool new books!
  9. Thanks Sqeggs! And bonus points here: the books aren't even brittle.
  10. Wow. My room at the Day's Inn hotel also delivered a full frontal assault on my nose and lungs with a totally noxious air "un"-freshener. Thought I was going to break out in hives. I remarked on this at the front desk; they told me someone else had made the same complaint. Sounds like this is a thing at the Baltimore budget hotels.
  11. Whew! That means we won't have to compete with you on future books! (such a great PL btw )
  12. Hope the mailman's day was even half as good as yours! Great books!!
  13. As usual you finished with an amazing haul! Kudos on the Spirit. I considered that Planet 43; good to see it landed with you.
  14. Oops, I forgot to mention Junkdrawer! I had a nice chat with him too. Sorry @Junkdrawer !
  15. Oh, and from another dealer, this book... ... with great pictures like this:
  16. My first Baltimore comic con. Mostly worth the trip. It is definitely more of a comic book con than a comic entertainment con that many other shows have morphed into. Having been to Wizard Chicago last month, however, I kind of felt like I was seeing a bunch of the same books. I would agree with Hudson that GAtor had one of the more impressive booths, not just for the high grade top-dog books, but also many others in mid- to upper-mid grade, both GA and SA. Bedrock City had some absolutely amazing high-grade MLJs. Flying Donut was true to his word that he had about 70 boxes of GA books (not that I was counting). It was great to meet some new boardies (Hudson of course!, Scrooge, Flying Donut, foolkiller) and catch up with other boardies (143ksk, bedrock, Greg Reece). My haul was modest, courtesy of Richard @bedrockcomics :
  17. Meant with fondness. The amazing Peter Graves from the Mission Impossible television show. Sorry if this was taken the wrong way.
  18. You mean like this banana peel? --> And this grave? -->
  19. Good stuff Gino, and informative! The pq actually looks pretty good. What part do you think accounts for the SB designation? Top right of cover or right edge of cover?
  20. BTW where did you get the tasteful comic book holder frame thingy?
  21. Great stuff! There was a slightly roughed up copy of this on CLINK last week, but too much spine split for my liking. This one really shines! Love the curves...
  22. Eloquently stated. So sorry about the damage. I'll do what I can to bid up the book!!
