  1. Great tip!! I'll check out Mediafire. Thanks!
  2. How about we go halfsies? Then it will only cost us $200 each, per annum. Or 20 of us could go in on at $20 each.
  3. Wow, what a great accomplishment! And Point Five's observation about the timeline of the early GA being encapsulated in this run is, weirdly, spot on.
  4. Nice one, Rick! I saw that on HA, and noted the red dress. Would've bid, except there was that Berk auction...
  5. Really spectacular colors and shine on that copy, jimjum!! What a pickup! Let us know if Mysta survives those death-webs at Zenith 3.
  6. Beautiful! Given the circumstances (), how did you take the photo? On phone or real camera? The image is so crisp. Now that Photobucket is dead, I'm at a bit of a loss...
  7. "...a masochist who enjoys a good, steady, and consistent stream of pain." I wish I could blame it on the comics, but it's all me, really.
  8. Snazzy idea! Except that there's no 6-month payment plan to spread the pain this time...
  9. I agree, those are excellent points you raise, Richard. Though along the lines of the sfcityduck, there does seem to be something quite unique (and most likely not to be repeated) in terms of what Jon brought to the hobby, and which is perhaps worth the minimal effort to keep his name associated with the books. Well, when the "From the Collection of Richard Evans" books arrive on the CC auction block, I'm buying your MM 10, then cracking, pressing, massaging, de-identifying it, and selling to Ritter!
  10. I certainly agree that Ritter is an awesome dealer. No doubt about that! My main question is why the "From the Collection of Jon Berk" information is not associated with the listings. I could easily see how someone not aware of the Berk hubbub buys this book without having any idea about its provenance. And thus *poof* into the ether goes the Berk association. Maybe I'm just getting too nostalgic...
  11. That is so awesome! And even the carpet is weird!
  12. Hurm. What is also quite interesting is that he doesn't include any mention in the WW listing that this was/is a Berk book. Rather odd, yes? I suppose another possibility (though highly unlikely given the limited time) is that someone else won it in the CC auction, cracked it out, and then sold or consigned it to WW.
  13. Ah, comics. All sorts of permutations out there.
  14. Tremendous! One of my favorite covers. I haven't seen colors this strong before. Seems like the colorist fell asleep at the easel for Planet 56, but woke up long enough to turn up the dials on this copy.
  15. Thanks! And best of all, they came with a free Shamrock Shake.
  16. Nice books! It was hard to see them through the glare, but from what I could tell, there's a lot of nice Gabby Hayes Westerns and New Teen Titans in there. I'll put in an order for the Silver Streak 22 and the MMC 4. Oh, okay, the Magic Comics 15 too.
  17. Whoa. That's insane! The Group Shot of group shots. Guess you've gotta be careful when you vacuum the living room carpet.
  18. Those are some otherworldly colors! Really one of a kind!
  19. ... and don't forget all of those cracked buoyant plastic slabs floating in the Rio Grande, all the way from 6516 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX!
  20. Awesome stuff, Rick! "But why are gallant men so homely?" Ouch.
  21. Great looking book, Steve. But why are you contemplating the slab? It would shine behind Mylar.
